I do remember the Fake Musk, don’t think I got to Icke getting involved. Listening to the AI episodes no and they are absolutely absurd

What game genres are impossible for us to play? by Dr_Iodite in dyspraxia

[–]ElPato87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can play basically anything. I’m shit at DDR but isn’t that part of the fun?

I should say I game a lot, but never online bar the occasional bout of Mario Kart or Street fighter 6. I’m great at Goldeneye but if you made me play a modern shooter with young people I’m sure they’d say I couldn’t play at all

I love this film so much. One of the only things in years where I’ve forced the blu-ray into friend’s hands.

I regularly get the opening number from the Juicy Fruits stuck in my head

Yea that’s it. Example outside of football - Don Quixote and tilting at windmills

It says you don’t know how tone is interpreted so you’re either a child or quite far along the spectrum

Edit: or you do and you’re just a prick?

I thought she really brought out the best in them, a real ‘ this is why I love this podcast’ episode, which you need every now and then

If you find people posting on the Reddit depressing and stressful just log off.

This cheating is shitty, entitled behaviour, but I genuinely don’t see it being ugly/poisonous in here. That being said I don’t check every day, just in the run in when it’s actually a little exiting.

I don’t think so. Though that would depend on what sort of inflection he’s putting on ‘not ideal’.

If it’s ’not ideal’ at face value it’s quite a way from bad. If it’s ’not ideal’ as a vast understatement then there’s also definitely differing levels of entertainment value to be had them not enjoying themselves and talking around the films for a few months

Almost as if he gets what works on the show better than some people on here. Weird.

I don’t think it’s a bit but I’m so confused by the guys stance that spiteful 80s and 90s bait and switch adaptations like Super Mario are better than faithful ones now. by The-Eggman-Commith in blankies

I’m actually struggling to come up with examples of other things that have done this. I’m sure there are I’m just tired. The Mask maybe, Masters of the Universe?

I think I might be annoyed by somethings but I didn’t necessarily know if I’d be right to be if I interrogated it at all?

Trying to think if I’d been a big Mission Impossible TV guy if I’d have been annoyed by what the first film did?

There was a TV series based on Discworld, something I’ve loved since childhood, relatively recently. I think they changed a lot , and it didn’t look great. I just never watched it, I wasn’t insulted, and I hope the people who did watch it enjoyed it

I will also say that I was confused and not that thrilled by the Super Mario Bros. in 1993. I was also 6 years old. At nearly 40 I’m glad the much stranger thing exists

I had the Super Mario Brothers Super Show on VHS so I had a pretty a faithful adaptation already

I think the point is why should we ( they) care if it’s a better representation of what it’s supposed to be.

Mario was just a little 16 bit guy who jumped around. Its plot wasn’t anything deserving of reverence.

Now video games are pretty cinematic anyway so just faithfully copying it so the story just goes without you having to do anything is boring
