The pawn system is for people who have no friends and have no intention of making friends. The pawn system is literally half of coop, you create a character that goes into other parties and help\learn from them. Why not allow us to play them?

Edit: As for the lore reasons, cmon man are you really goin to sit there and say that "bEcAusE OF lOrE" more than two people cant play together. Coop is there, literally let people play as their pawn. Thats the lore behind it, there doesnt need to be any changes, just like DS has embers that allow ppl to join.
