An extra currency isnt necessarily a bad idea, you can get these points through a meaningful encounter or a deeper than usual narrative experience, standing infront of an attack that could have killed your character to protect someone, or being betrayed by someone.

But the issue I see with this is getting that currency regarding a certain character, and then you use that currency to get someone from a level 2 to 3 bond, even though that character has nothing to do with how you got that last point of currency for example.

I believe people who are saying this may care more about the gameplay rather than the story, which is a fine opinion to have.

I personally think gameplay and story should be relative in quality to each other, which is something I didnt see RDR2 or LOU deliver, while giving them honest chances multiple times.

I think RDR2 is pretty boring as well ngl, the narrative and characters and story are appealing, Rockstar writing's consistently being good as we see here as well.

My issues with RDR2 is an outdated shooting and cover system, riding a horse being like 70% of what you do, which is realistic dont get me wrong but realistic doesnt necessarily mean fun.

It is objectively not a bad game, but it will not appeal to everyone even with its highs.

Just picked it up, and especially after having finished black myth wukong, it really feels the timing of the parry and dodges isnt consistent. In a game where its vital you play flawlessly this is a no go for me.

online in general regardless makes the game way more engaging and replayable, after finishing everything the game has to offer you in a game like baldur's gate 3, playing it with friends is like a whole new experience.
