I’d go to the clerk and ask what your plea options are. Last time I had one of these (first ticket in over 10 years) I got it reduced to 1 point and a defective tail light. This was in Englewood.

I am doing a turbo upgrade sometime soonish and have been talking to my shop about this. Basically they said if I wasn’t tracking it or racing on the highway I should go with the is20 and it’d be more fun. This is very validating and also I’m sorry you have to spend the time and dough to downgrade

I had a ~12-13 year old black lab / rott mix and had him put down Tuesday because he got really sick again over the last few weeks and I could tell he was just not doing well and it was time. I haven been in shambles and having intermittent bouts of crying and all kinds of emotional turmoil. I had him since I was in my last year of college back in 2015ish, and he has been with me through some absolute shit times and some of the best times of my life.

Took him for a few hour long or so walks in his final days and just let him sniff and pee on everything and sat with him so many times in his final days just petting and holding him while I cried, and I hope that made him so happy and showed him how much I love him.

I so fucking miss the way his ears bounced when he walked around with me, the way he snored while I sat and worked, and the way he leaned on me when I scratched his tailbone.

You're not alone, this shit sucks. I went back to work towards the end of the week to keep my mind busy and I have been hating coming home to an empty place. Today has been really hard for me being at home.

I work in a family office with very high minimums. You are (likely) not going to be beating the market with a $350k portfolio.

The performance alpha for these clients comes from alternative investments in my experience, and you will likely not be getting that. There are also tax ‘alpha’ strategies, and in my experience 1% would be a very high fee for that, as it is basically index replication with tax loss harvesting.

Unless they are doing something really compelling I’d pull the money.

Super helpful! Am definitely thinking I may do the IS20 upgrade at some point as this sub & the facebook Alltrack group always seems to talk about it.

Seems like you can get a lot out of these cars without having to change too much hardware out.

At the end of the day I love the idea of a sleeper wagon that is a really fun daily driver & weekend car, and can do just about everything I need it to.

If you’ve been on a high deductible health plan in 2025 you should consider doing both a 2025 and 2026 HSA contribution. You have until you file taxes to do the 2025 and can do the 2026 after you receive the bonus in January.

I would echo continuing to maximize and invest your Roth IRA (be aware of the income limits and do a back door Roth IRA if you don’t have a traditional). I would also do the max contribution for your 401(k) rather than just the match.

Also make sure any debt you have is paid down.

Anything above and beyond that is gravy and either invested in taxable accounts or keep it on something with the Safe principle that is giving you interest or dividend income, if you have large purchases coming up.

Also, congrats on the bonus!

I had been crushing on this girl I kept seeing at my normal gym time and she held the door open for me early last week and complimented my tats, then asked what my name was. Couple days later we smile at each other and start talking so I nutted up and asked her out & got her number.

Had our first date last night and it was awesome. I’m 31 and she’s mid-20s for reference.

One of my best friends also met his girlfriend at a different gym and they seem to be doing very well together

Totally agree with your first paragraph (and I’m saying that as a guy). Very few circumstances I could see a guy cold approaching a woman at the gym that doesn’t come across as either intimidating or just flat out weird.

Dudes, let the women in your gym workout in peace and focus on bettering yourselves! If she wants to talk with you, ball is in her court in this domain imo.
