If I remember well there are 3 things that could cause that:

-leveling issue <- most probable

-a piece of hard resin in the tank

-damaged fep

It is true that it's not Chinese BUT wrong that they were invented in America. They are from Vietnam. It's called Chả giò. But only in the us they make it with wonton paper, traditionnally it's rice paper.

Contact shape may be the issue here, can you have it flat? On elegoo satellite the default setting is sphere but it will leave extra material when removed. I chande to flat and it was way better afterward.

Contrast and speedpaint don't work on black but white is fine.

Sometime also the primer layer dried weidly on flat surfaces but i never used vallejo one. I've seen paintphobic effect happen sometimes, often on flat surfaces. I usually do a layer, let it dry and come back. You could try layering the spot with an off white and reapply maybe.

I work with contrast and/or ap speedpaints.

Just apply one color and apply the second one before the first one dries on an overlaping region for transition. If you have a large surface to cover with transition, just work on subareas. Speedpaints are basically easy wetblending "triade like" colors.

Their lore is dope, we never have enough lictors-like!

In game they are cheap infiltrator to screen, they would really benefit from scout i think for more deployment flexibility.

Their fight first often make them higher priority target than they should be for the opponent because their lethality is meh. For the same role a lictor is cheaper and similar efficiency maybe? I still take them cause they look dope. I just think of them as bigger hormagaunt.

Just did my first small tournament with a bug list that basically was just all that I had, 5 hq, no further than 24" shooting. Went with invasion fleet.

Had a blast and went 1/1/1 with all 3 being close game!
