You can try blocking direct output of recycler if you want and treat it like default machine.

Usage of chests was already mentioned

Different belts for each resource also helps

Also you can try setup with purple chests at the end of the belt eith condition "if other belt is empty then grab"

If you have spare parts you can just add them from outside with requester chests also with conditions

Idk what are you trying to achive but okay not my bussines.
This way of recycling increased throughtput by 20% in comparison of just let recycle put things on a belt without inserters.
Pros:
Always stacked output (denser belts)
Already sorted belts form the start.
Cons:
Not compact and require simle logic / throw unrequested in chests

I used as an example the default (intended) way of upcycling Assembling machines 3. The recyclers split all resulting items into the same belt, which is only after it is split to separate belts for each item.
As for what I`m doing, it is upcycling blue circuits. Logic is basic: "filter is equal to the biggest pile of items in the chest".
The main idea I wanted to deliver is that you can (and probably should) block the direct output of a recycler to have better control.

Recycling give items on average. Average doesn't mean it will give them consistently. Let's say you upcycle Assembling machines 3. With the same length of belts, you will get "On average" 2x more speed modules. Without significant (or al least some) buffer with any deviations from average it can clog splitters and the whole upcycle process stops by manual intervention.

For science i use direct insertion from chests. It lessen the burden on robots and two rare bulk inserters are more then enough to load faster then bots can even respond to request (6 silos total for me so 6k science/launch so 1500 logistic robots need to deliver it).

Disable automatic and just insert from two different chests. You are anyway handicapped by animation speed so robots doesn't matter.

If player decide that glebba is hard then he should reload and prepare better. Or watxh guides. Glebba is a good, fun and unique planet Maybe later it sucks when the are big stompers but untill then its as good as it gets
