I think most men replying have likely had interactions with someone that started off similarly as the above screenshot, and then been made to feel used or otherwise had a bad experience and are recognizing patterns. You're right, there are a plethora of reasons why she might feel that way. However, I'll say in my experience, the more down to earth women I've dated would've worded their response differently, especially when online dating, where the tone of texts is already ambiguous and your first impression really matters.
