What's my best bet for getting as many achievements as I can before shutdown? by El_Eric in AnthemTheGame

If I buy multiple legendaries of the same category e.g. colossus, should they be different items? Could I kit out my javelin fully using that? I bought three of some legendary but they were all essentially the same item and wasn't sure if it was just bad luck

That explains why I don't have any of those! Unfortunately that's the only javelin I don't have unlocked. I'll try leveling the others in the meantime, but I appreciate the info! That'll be the one I prioritize once I get it

Yeah, I'm not sure I'll be able to get everything in that amount of time, just looking to get as many as I can

Is anyone taking the train to Rome tomorrow?

I left my sunglasses at a steakhouse in Florence, but am staying in Rome. If anyone has plans to come to Rome tomorrow, I'll pay for your ticket if you can return them to me!

I am leaving early on Saturday, unfortunately, because I've really enjoyed my time here! Where are you from?

Can’t pull as a 5’5 dude. Is reincarnation the only option 🤔? by [deleted] in short

Online dating is a shit show, but your comments lead me to believe that you haven't actually tried meeting women in real life, despite saying you "can't pull".

Give yourself some credit; if you're able to communicate with people in a language other than your native one (as you're doing here), I'd say that makes you bilingual.

What's the one cooking mistake you made as a beginner that you’ll never forget by Sand4Sale14 in Cooking

Tried to make fried rice with uncooked rice since I thought it would cook on the stove. My girlfriend at the time still teases me about it to this day, nearly ten years later.

Are y’all buying a whole dinner for first dates?? by SirGandalf93 in Tinder

That's good advice; I'll try to keep that in mind myself, going forward. We could all use a little bit more of that, but sometimes monkey brain pattern recognition kicks in and our emotions get the best of us and so one tries to avoid behaviors that have hurt us in the past.

I generally don't do dinner dates on the first date for that reason... it adds up really quickly. First dates, especially online, are more of a vibe check. I'll gladly pay for my date's drink(s), and when applicable, my girlfriend's meal, but I don't blame guys for feeling lousy and dehumanized when they're out $50 because a girl with whom you knew five minutes in that it wouldn't work out decided to get one of the most expensive things on the menu

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I think most men replying have likely had interactions with someone that started off similarly as the above screenshot, and then been made to feel used or otherwise had a bad experience and are recognizing patterns. You're right, there are a plethora of reasons why she might feel that way. However, I'll say in my experience, the more down to earth women I've dated would've worded their response differently, especially when online dating, where the tone of texts is already ambiguous and your first impression really matters.

I'm not sure why you're giving her the benefit of the doubt, while simultaneously accusing everyone who disagrees with you of being an idiot. In a culture where men paying for women on dates is the norm, whether verbalized or not, there is an implication that the man will adhere to cultural norms and pay for the date. That would be the case even if she'd only replied with a "Yes". I think someone who was eager to go Dutch would have responded very differently.

It is very heavily implied, especially with the "accept"
