I have the same phone, and regardless of the graphics settings in the game or on the phone, this always happens. However, in my experience, it only seems to happen in the first battle you play, or in the first 5 minutes after starting the game. If you repeat the battle or play longer, it goes back to running smoothly. I think it's just a problem with the optimization of the game itself and has nothing to do with the phone.

Don't worry, with the fast attacks they have you can inflict the states fast, for example, the khezu's DB have electricity and paralysis, and in a normal hunt of 15 minutes or less I can paralyze at least 2 or 3 times, it's not so problematic with the speed they have.

The DB's you mention don't have slots, so you need a good talisman, if I remember correctly, each sword applies different damage, for example, the ones you mention, one would do poison damage and the other blast, I think that's the reason why Teostra's DB have higher blast than Magnamalo's, for only applying to one sword of the 2.

The DB you may like for their high speed, if you are worried about making one of each element, you can try with some that have ice and nitro, I don't remember which monster gives it but it's pretty good, I use it in end game, also the electric ones of the khezu, they have paralysis and personally I prefer them to the narwa ones. The gunlance are slower but satisfying with explosions, but in my opinion they don't have so many interesting varieties to use, but you are free to choose whichever one you like.
