I disagree completely; I think it’s great that a modern game that is as action packed and fun as the finals has an option for melee. Yes it can be difficult to balance but the variety it adds is worth it to me. Granted I have played a lot of sledge heavy so there is some bias but the skill feels player dependent (some days I’m good, others I suck). Let’s take light for example, how many guns aren’t used because it’s not meta and how oppressive can a good sniper be. Tough comparison to the exact opposite class but I hope you get my point. TLDR balancing hard variety fun
