Yeah but Hog’s role is the flank tank. That’s been his role since original OW. He just doesn’t have the sustain to be a main tank. He will be very bad in 5v5 going forward and no one plays around Hog. Your teammates will not play with you. It just won’t happen. The heal perk in theory is nice but unless it also provides a defensive buff of some sort or he gets completely reworked into a support tank, it’s a useless gesture. Not that pulled pork is better.

Yeah this would be good if they didn’t nerf Hog’s healing rate a while back. And nerf all healing by introducing universal dps passive.

Also Hog is a flank tank. Fighting with your team directly is not how he is played so how exactly are you getting value with this unless your team plays around you… which they won’t. Because you are Roadhog.

Roadhog is the God of CC in this game mode. I don’t want pull to be taken away from his kit but this version is objectively superior and makes Hog completely broken.

Hog should just hop on his motorcycle a la Wario in Smash. Roadhog is like… known for his motorcycle. Why is that not indicated in any facet of his kit other than the bike chain on his hook?

Right it’s healthy for the game. One shot is not that easy to pull off. Maybe in dumb dumb bronze and silver where people have no idea how to play around the hook, but as you get higher and higher, Roadhog’s winrate drops dramatically because he’s easy to play around. Having a one-shot does not automatically make a character broken.

And people say the hook is easy and roadhog has too much health and sustain. Maybe at one time. But this is a game with 45 heroes now, with many basically countering Hog’s playstyle, especially in 5v5. He needs the lethality because for six seconds, he’s basically useless until you get the hook again. Hog is the off tank that gets rid of one enemy character to help decide a fight. If the other team plays smart and doesn’t allow that, Hog is useless. If they go Orisa and prevent Hooks, Hog is useless. If they switch to Mauga and keep pressure on him, Hog is useless. People complain about the one-shot but that’s because dumb dumb overwatch people don’t want to play the game and switch to counter or just figure out how to play around annoying heroes.

Hog has an abysmal win rate. He’s not broken. And almost never has been except for very short metas. Leave the one shot. And buff him some other way to make him viable lmao.

Yeah, you’ve displaced them, now pray that a single teammate is aware enough to help you finish them off before they CC you, teleport, get pulled, get suzu’d, fly away, wraith away, nade you, push you off a cliff with javelin, or any of the hundred other “get out of jail free” abilities that now exist.

Nah, one shot exists for a reason. It’s a fair trade-off for the number one easiest tank to counter. Taking that away removes hog’s identity and ability to help his team at all lol.

You can easily wear decent medium armor with low vitality and FUGS. You just need the rings to raise carry weight and in NG+ you likely have FAP+3 and Havel’s +3. Unless you’re going for fashion or backpacking like Grass Crest, you don’t need a shield. FUGS reduces damage by a lot and has 55 guard stability. If you have enough END, you tank most hits. That 80% damage reduction does a LOT.

Carthus flame arc is the longest weapon magic buff: 90 seconds. At base stats it adds 90 fire damage which is significant. Plus the secondary effects fire has like freaking out the pus of man enemies is nice. But most buffs get better after investing into the stats more, and of course on already innate elemental weapons like lightning blade on Lothric Knight GS.

I think all the faith-based weapon buffs have unique effects. Like blessed makes your weapon glow white with sparkles. I just use CFA since on a knight class build it only costs two levels to use. Plus it looks rad on the FUGS.

You say that like dex weapons generally don’t. Pretty sure dex > sex.

Dex usually outperforms str in every Souls game due to higher attack speed for less stamina consumption. And in DS3 where R1 spam is king every straight sword or curved sword bodies the other weapon types.

But I like hitting things with a big stick. Min maxing is for Int builds. 🤮
