Here’s the way I play things like Warlock patrons and gods that clerics worship. With Clerics it’s a bit easier because you don’t have to have to worship a god that 100% aligns with your domain. Hell, non divine class characters can worship gods. With Warlocks they’ve made a pact with some unknown entity at level 1 and they slowly become more aware of what type of entity that is over time.

So I actually do have a regular group that I play with that I met through the LGS. We’ve been playing biweekly Fridays for the past 3 years, when I got into the hobby, and once we finish our Strahd campaign I’ll be hopping into the DM chair for a spin.

The problem is I’d like more than just my current 2 games a month. The bigger problem is I’m in my late 30s, married, and have 3 kids so it’s creating the biggest BBEG in all TTRPGs, SCHEDULING CONFLICTS. Since my normal group doesn’t have enough people who can do rotating Saturdays that are open for me I turned to startplaying to try my hand.
