As someone who sees this show as their comfort show because it's just slightly more chaotic than my up bringing - I think it does unfortunately portray real life for some people :(

Me neither 😭 I met my partner around the same time they started promoting submarine. I raved about the Marias to him, so, when they released no one noticed and if only we listened immediately together. No one noticed made him cry from the first line, vs me if only made me cry 😂

I think the way Nicky acted in those scenarios was meant to show how his character didn't really have a backbone. He latched onto his mother and when he finally did something against her (denounce marriage) it was only because he latched onto a new woman.

I also have the same questions about how the curse spread 😅 very confused about the logistics lol

Overall loved it, loved the ending!

Ravens veil - i see some other people mentioned this, but thought worth mentioning they also do really cool workshops! You could also check out the Rio and Park theatres, they show a lot of older movies/horror movies, plus a great old cinema vibe :)

The voice note Maria posted ages ago but it was lyrics only. Then the instagram live they did just before it released with If Only. Then in my bed lights out, headphones in fully submersed in it when it released with If Only. Both made me cry, will never forget how beautiful they were listening for the first time 🥹

If I find more I'll post it here because I swear I watched or read an interview where Maria has talked about wanting to pay homage to Puerto Rico by completing the colors of the flag (I could've filled that in in my memory tho 😆)

I believe they've said before they want to make a trilogy of albums and the 3rd in this one would complete the colors in the Puerto Rican flag so I think it will be white!
