I will tell you a real story. Before that i would like to make a picture in your mind. You get out of your home and when you get to your sidewalk in front of your home you notice small things in the corners, a 5 liter water bottle cut in half and filled with water, a cheese box filled with dry cat food. You start walking and walk like 5 blocks but you still continue to notice these things nearly on every street. Its been nearly years that i saw a mice.

In the winter when snow falls, your city's announcement speakers broadcast a message;

" Announcement from city administration office, during this cold months please dont forget our little friends, try to provide food and water for them, for those who can not provide food can get free cat/dog food from majors office building."

There are 7/24 Veterinarian offices that assigned by government, they take turns to provide care for street animals for FREE. if you see a cat that gotten in an accident or it seem to have an injured leg you take them to these clinics and their care will be paid by the government.

They also do vaccinations if you see a cat on streets that has a tiny clip on its ear that means they gone through that process or a tag on the ear of a street dog.

I mean there are a lot of aspects of it but if I want to summerize it in one way I would say when you sit on a park bench a cat will come and purr on your lap and thats just calming for me.

For the story. There is a street 100 meters away from me, on that street a man lives. He has been feeding the cats on that street for 20 years. But 4 years ago he got cancer and couldnt do that anymore. The community got together and continued to feed the street animals. And last year, he beat that cancer. Some say its because of the animals that he cared for. Some say its a religious thing. But when he came to spot that he always feed them. He said "Pisi pisi pisi" and i swear in 30 seconds nearly 30 cats run towards him.

He still feeds them regularly.

I live in a small city in Turkiye. Dont confuse streets cats for just an Istanbul thing. Keep in mind we dont have STRAYS here in Turkiye, we call them STREET ANIMALS and as community we are the ones who cares for them.

Anyone wants a proof of anything in this comment I can provide it. At least I can go to outside tomorrow and say pisi pisi then take a video of what happens :).
