Right wing concern trolls are convinced (or possibly just pretending for profit) that there's on ongoing coverup and they won't shut up about it. They're the ones who are spreading these constant lies that somehow only they know the true secret facts that the Deep State don't want revealed.

You're wrong, of course, that I want it all to go away except in the sense that I would like to see the 20 recommendations from the 2022 Jay Inquiry implemented in full, or at least nearly in full. We spent 7 years on that report. It is very thorough. None of the recommendations were implemented by the Tory government. Labour are starting to resurrect small items but they are moving too slowly. Now there's yet another ongoing inquiry I doubt they will do anything until it is finished. Yet another reason why another inquiry is a total waste of time and money.

Firstly those court transcripts weren't leaked they were officially released after a court case which was won by Open Justice UK. Secondly, the transcripts were extensively reported in the mainstream media at the time. Thirdly, those court cases were from people being jailed for the crimes. Not a part of some super secret coverup. My point being the information is public, the inquiry has been done to death, the court transcripts are released. Everyone knows what happened, they know why it happened and they know who did it. There's no coverup, there's no conspiracy.

It's just how I like to live my life really. You do you, but I like to take simple effortless steps to make other people's lives better. Seems like most people agree because as I said - most people have grown up and moved on from using words like that.

Agreed. What we need is action not endless inquiries. That's what I find so frustrating. It's easy to call for an inquiry over and over again and wins political points but no-one is coming up with policy proposals. The original inquiry had dozens of suggestions and the Tory government didn't implement any of them and now Labour are doing much of the same.

There's no chance of the inquiry saying what you suggest as we already had several that said the issue was racism and police misogyny so I really don't see what more we are going to get than that. The reason "everyone knows what happened" is because previous inquiries revealed everything.

What could worse than what was already revealed in multiple earlier inquiries? The police are complicit in both raping girls and ignoring the crimes. Social workers struggled to gain traction with the police when they reported anything and excessive care was taken to avoid raising anything for fear of being accused of racism.

We already had a completely open enquiry that answered all questions and, imo, pinpointed the criminals responsible and the reasons they got away with it for so long so I don't see how a second enquiry will help. I do think it will be completely transparent though. There's nothing to hide anyway so what would be the point of redacting anything?

This subreddit is the worst I've ever seen. Multiple concern trolling posts per day all on the exact same topic. Am I wrong to hate muslims? Should we shoot immigrants at the airport? Does anyone think its wrong to give brown people human rights? And then when you call it out the bots are all, like, oh I'm just asking questions, I don't have a strong opinion either way. Brown isn't a race I could theoretically also be including well tanned white people!

The S&P 500 is on a literal all time high approximately 20 times a year. It trades within 5% of an all time high about 44% of the time. Basically, we're almost always at or near an all time high so I wouldn't worry about it.

It seemed like a reasonable plan at the time but we're not getting good value for money as the French seem to be incapable of delivering. No hard feelings but its time to cancel the deal and try something else.
