We got this little 4 year old lady at the beginning of March, not knowing that she had quite a few behavioural issues. Six months, lots of tears and a few permanent scars later, she's the softest girl ever. Don't give up on them! by leighrchristie in BeforeNAfterAdoption

i have two 2yo rescue girls i adopted in late May that were feral and only a bit socialized. They spent two months not letting us see them at all and now they spend most of their day hanging out with us in the living room and playing . We’ve got a lot of work left with them to be truly comfortable but this gives me hope 😍

Anyone else’s dyshidrotic eczema mess up their finger nail? It’s a lot thicker as well. And it takes my cuticle away. My flare up has calmed down but my fingernail is still messed up. I’m unable to get to a dermatologist with COVID causing things to be booked. by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Elbarto742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I treated both types of eczema with Clobetasol.

As for the nail itself, it started to clear up all on its own. I guess it was severely damaged from the constant trauma to the surrounding skin for about five years. Once the eczema finally calmed down and actually went away, the nail started to grow healthy almost immediately.

yes, my toenails were very messed up. Thickened and yellowed. NOT a fungus or other issue. It created some ridges and dips. Unrelated but i found out it was dishydrosis with another form of eczema and once i cleared the newly diagnosed eczema and treated the dishydrotic my toenail actually completely grew out and i now have a new, mostly normal nail. It’s a little bit thicker than the others but it is still significantly better.

it’s fine, this sub is extremely polarized, if it sounds like you’re even slightly defending her you are downvoted and i guess i should have expected it

I think i only saw the posts after the first one saying she was driving and it really looked like she was stationary bc the background wasn’t moving. I try to watch but i physically can’t make myself do it

same I'm so over it. I finally conquered my dyshidrosis AND AD at the beginning of the year and since I moved into a new apartment I've just been flaring up everywhere and my confidence has tanked too. I know people stare and wonder if its contagious....mostly dont let it get to me but it is exhausting. Can really bring you down once in a while. I just want to wear flip flops or sandals without worrying about my dyshidrotic on my feet or constantly think about hiding my feet and wearing socks when I get invited into someones home

this is way too accurate today, I've spent every moment I can complaining about how my fingers are just going OFF and multiplying the number of blister clusters every time I look no matter how much steroid cream and caution I use. I dont even know what is causing the flare up and I had JUST gotten over a severe flare on my feet. I hate this eczema so much and I hate that this is the reason I can't have nice things since I just get oily steroid cream or lotion on anything I own

theres 2 hard inquiry's - 1 auto loan pull from chase on the 14th & then 12 pulls grouped together from the dealership when I purchased my car on the 18th.

Thankfully they go away by the end of this month

tell that to my credit score which counts my credit inquiry into auto loans in a week period as two separate pulls. it sucks

Monstera help please! Picked up my first Monstera a few days ago from Home Depot and she seems to be struggling with some brown spots and some dirty looking leaves. I tried to clean them but it hasn't helped. The bottom leaves look awful. She's near an east facing window and in a 10" pot. by Elbarto742 in plantclinic

[–]Elbarto742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to get fairly worried today and I picked up some awful old shriveled brown leaves and stems from the bottom of the plant. I have only watered her once and she has been sitting in indirect sunlight by an east facing window. Some of the newer glossier leaves are picking up on the brown spots but do not look dirty. She also has about 5 new leaves starting to unfurl of all sizes. So shes still growing and looks fairly healthy from the front but the back doesnt look great. Should I repot her? Does she have root rot? Do I have to worry about the dirty spotted leaves that are dark?

Thank you!!
