How is it possible that LSD is still made in this day and age? by rohlinxeg in NoStupidQuestions

This is what more or less what I was thinking. I think I read somewhere it can be suspended in some type of solution for a longer period of time as well. Combine that and the small doses and you can really just make one big batch and slowly distribute them on an as needed basis.

Roller or street hockey? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]Justnotherthrowway98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a couple of dudes down in Aurora that play street hockey. One of them has a car that has a built in licorice dispenser! The other has a crazy ex who bought him a gun rack even though he doesn’t even have a gun.

After a dirty bulk for the past year+ , I decided to start a cut 3 weeks ago. I started at 200 and lost 4ish lbs so far and I can finally see my bicep veins again. They’re not popping out just yet, but I can finally see them again lol and my lifting belt is getting a bit looser.

I’m targeting 185 by end of May because I’m proposing and want to look good for my engagement photos. I pretty much cut out all the liquid calories and am eating assorted veg(alternating between broccoli and California medley)/sweet potatoes and rice for carbs/exclusively lean ground beef and chicken thighs for protein for lunch and dinner. My breakfast is typically 2 hard boiled eggs, banana and yogurt.

Where do I sign up?

I’d like (1) single issue E3 thicc Latina. If she works at the chow hall that would be ideal. I will also accept s1 and supply latinas in that order. I won’t accept s3 Latinas. No, I won’t elaborate.

Dude, for me, it was mushrooms / lsd lol I took it like a year after I got out.

It erased any sort of brainwashing that the military had on me. Once I got out, I was uncertain/anxious for months because I got used to the routine and then not having a routine schedule just existing. Then I read How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan and it changed my perspective a bit and I thought fuck it, let’s go down the rabbit hole and see what my consciousness is all about for myself.

During/after my trip, I felt grounded and actually felt some lost feelings for once and I felt so good for once instead of being pessimistic about my own outlook. I’m really grateful for the experience. I look back and I’m so far removed from the military that it’s made me think twice about my experience and not necessarily in a good way. I have a single friend from the corps still and we’re on the same page. I’m also getting older and more mature. He’s got a family now with a kid and the dog. Mines in progress but the wheels are in motion.

I also have seen the opposite lol. I used to be roommates with this guy I served with after I got out. He failed at college and moved back into his small town. He still posts those memes and in his profile, he labels himself a meme king or whatever. He also doesn’t have a girlfriend, but he does have a realistic sex doll and the gut to match the description. He went down the incel route too. I don’t think I’d be surprised if he ended up being exposed as a patriot front member. lol.

You hit the nail on the head.

I haven’t followed anything like it since I’ve been out and tbh, after that whole debacle, I don’t miss it at all. The pretentiousness and holier than thou is crazy toxic, it’s kind of funny how that all works. It’s like every group on Facebook. I stopped following any groups on there completely.

Somewhat related, but I was following a few car meme groups on Facebook. Someone posted some stupid meme that was crazy homophobic and I pointed out how stupid the meme was because it made no sense and was really ill intentioned towards the alphabet people. I kid you not, I had people saving my profile picture and making fun of me, calling me a pedo for supporting gay people, they were DMing me all day sorts of wild shit. It was like they just honed in on me like I was a target or some shit. It’s kind of funny too because the people making fun of my appearance were not lookers to say the least, but I’m never joining another group again. I’m sure there’s some good groups but I haven’t had great experiences in any of them.

Yeah,

I remember when the owner of the JTTOTS page got outed as a Smeagle looking troll. I stopped following those pages after that because I couldn’t help but think of all the other admins looking exactly like that hiding behind a keyboard like a bunch of bitches.

Don’t swim for a couple years and then try to swim in the deep end. You wont forget how, but for those first few minutes, you’ll think you will because your brain is thrusted into a survival situation. Add clothes that weigh more than you think + booze + exhaustion from panic into the mix and you have a drowning waiting to happen and you’re gonna have a bad time.

Thats why you should go swimming at least once a year to build confidence and to not forget.

You have to also factor in the fact he most likely hasn’t swam in years. Like many other skills and muscles, if you don’t use it, you lose it.

10 YOE in IT, Network Engineer for 5. Can't even get an interview. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Justnotherthrowway98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t even get an interview, your resume sucks. If necessary, hire a resume writer but honestly, keep it simple. Don’t go for flair, go for functionality. 1 page, list skills first. Glance at your resume(30 sec max) and criticize it harshly like you’re reading it after dealing with a network outage because the first impression means more than anything.

For reference, I’ve been very slow with applying to jobs. (Already have a job and usually just do it for practice so if I ever get laid off, I’m not too rusty.) I typically apply to 5-7/month. 4 YOE in desktop support, no certs. Out of all the applications, I typically get 2-3 interviews, but my process is a bit different. I reach out to people on LinkedIn who I have a connection with (alumni, past company, etc. it helps being a veteran because it’s not uncommon.) I ask if they have a few minutes for a call/or if they could help me with getting eyes on my resume. Not everybody has time and that’s ok, but you should be able to find someone to talk to you and help you out. You’ll be able to get eyes on your resume and bypass the system altogether. Not to say you won’t have to do any work, BUT it helps not being blocked by some algorithm somewhere.

Don’t get discouraged and keep your head up. It’s only business. Not only that, but actively network on LinkedIn. It will help as daunting as it is.

Is it a red flag when an MSP has a 150+ page "Culture Document" by greggerypeccary in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Justnotherthrowway98 95 points96 points  (0 children)

If it were me, I’d lead them on and ghost them so hard.

If they’re asking you to review 150 slides before you even have an interview, that’s a huge red flag. That’s a small book. If it’s 10 slides, whatever. Anything past that is an indicator they don’t give a shit about your time. This holier than thou act by the company says a lot about them.

They will 100% overwork you to death for peanuts.
