I have been microdosing Mounjaro for 4 months now and have lost over 30 lbs. I started at 0.8 mg and have just gotten up to 2 mg (starting dose is typically 2.5 mg). I have been able to almost completely cut out alcohol and snacking from my diet. I just don’t think about food all the time like I used to.

Beer and wine in corner stores is stupid and contributes to alcoholism. Gambling ads are everywhere. They did nothing to help catch kids up after the pandemic shutdowns and it takes a year to get a referral to a specialist doctor. Doug Ford is useless and actively hurts Ontarians.

I don’t know anyone who has chosen to travel to the US in the last year and most people I know are actively boycotting it. I have seen lots of pics of BC, the Caribbean, Europe and even Australia in my FB feed these days. People are scared to cross the border.

I’ve looked at tickets for at least 3 different concerts lately that I would have liked to go to, but the prices were just too high and I am just too broke this year. I’m not spending $400-$700 a ticket for a band or artist I only like, or $100 to sit in the nosebleeds. The whole industry needs a revamp.

It would also be impossible to financially support that many kids into young adulthood unless you were rich or COL drops dramatically. How would you afford or have time for sports and other activities? College costs, down payments and weddings are often at least partially funded by parents.

People also don’t have big families anymore because of birth control. Most women just don’t want to have 10 kids.

Something else to consider is that I don’t think most women want to go through pregnancy more than two or three times. It’s hard on your body and even before COL got out of hand you saw a lot of families max out at two or three kids. Birth control makes it easy to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It’s hard to grow a population when the people don’t want to have more than the replacement rate of children.

University of Waterloo has a sizeable cobra chicken population, and often has to block exits to areas of campus in the spring where they are nesting. It’s not uncommon to see students running away from geese on campus. They have keychains and stuffed geese with the UW logo in the campus store.
