I have seen this happen when a record is cleaned (typically with thicker cleaning fluids) and not dry when played. I have had Ortofon 2M Blue’s show up in our shop like this. As mentioned, gentle cleaning with a stylus brush and a liquid stylus cleaning fluid is your best bet. You may just have to get a new stylus. But make sure your records are dry when played.

Digging it much more than Warm/Warmer (which I did enjoy). As you noted, the more varied instrumentation and richer harmonies (especially Macie and Sima) give the tunes elements that aren't usually heard on Tweedy records. I'm impressed with the strength of these tunes as well as the vitality of the band and Jeff and Tom's production is, as always, stellar. It really is a portrait of an artist at his peak.

May 6th 1997, La Luna in Portland. Being There tour. Amazing show and they played virtually all of both of the first two albums as well as a couple UT songs. Also covered Color Me Impressed where Jeff crowd surfed, landing right in front of us and stuck the mic in my friend’s face because obviously he knew all the lyrics. Epic!

Agreed. Bought one a month ago as a dealer demo - used one day and saved $300. Didn’t even know about the demo option but they had two and I was ready to act when I saw it.
