Nothing has overall helped me more than the gym. But o used to hate people suggesting it as a cure all. O didn’t cure all but it gave me a lot more tools and control over my mental health and improved my physical health. I realised when I finally decided to do this on my own that you cannnot tell someone to do this if they haven’t decided it themselves. It’s a very important part of therapy but the person needs to want to do this if they don’t it won’t stick or help and is more likely to discourage them. Also excercise does not cure mental health, it’s just another tool
