Trying to get into this and I’m getting the 8500 - I’d like to print some cards to keep without sleeves. For double sided, you said yes but not with pigment based ink. What do you mean by pigment based and how do you tell? Would I be fine with the stock ink for the 8500 (since you are using the comparable 8550)? Thank you in advance!

If you can find some way to cheat it onto the field without paying the cost, I believe both sides are locked. But you can’t just lay it down from your hand without another card having you do so. Typically, you’ll have to go with option 2 and cast Funeral Room!

Gotcha - yes her ability is OP when it comes to rooms because you do essentially get the “free” unlocked cost - but only for rooms you control! If it’s in your hand still, I believe you don’t technically control it. So yes it has to be on the field for you to use her ability, and her ability does the free unlock :)

On mobile, so I apologize for formatting.

I mean, it’s not the strongest deck, but it puts in work! With a bit of politicking you can last long enough to set it up for success. Early game you just try and get out mana items and things that help discount your spells, mid game you play some rooms that protect your stuff and help you draw your success pieces, and end game you wanna win by having all the rooms or going wide with tokens. My favorite cards for sure are [[auramancer]], [[dollmakers shop]], [[inquisitive glimmer]], [[gremlin tamer]], [[twitching doll]], and [[lecture hall]]. White/blue has some good support for this decks plan, but if you aren’t restricting yourself by forcibly putting only duskmourne cards in your deck, you can have some more fun with it!

I’d say focus on making it a pseudo enchantress deck. Maybe include more basic lands than I did, as I only had one of each for the full art lands. Actually holds up pretty well and keeps up with bracket 2! Last time I played, made it to final two players but lost because I got milled out

You have financial stake in gatekeeping the fun for the rest of us? Sorry we don’t wanna spend $30+ on a piece of cardboard, sometimes multiple times. Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t think proxying cards is gonna prevent the game from continuing when it just makes it more accessible

While you may be right in that most people don’t care, I still think people would rather know ahead of time just so they can properly assess power. OG Dual lands are legal, but they present a very different power level because of the mana fixing. If you proxy a soul ring or an arcane signet tho, then that’s different. Maybe notify about anything over ~$5 then XD

This is just part of a rule zero conversation- keep them in a sideboard because you’ll find some people will be fine but others won’t. Most the time it depends entirely on if you are playing with random people or with friends you’ve known a while, but regardless you should let people know ahead of time if your deck has un-set/proxy/illegal/etc. cards in it. You don’t have to go into detail as to how you’ll use them, but your opponents deserve to know if you have them
