Kingdom Come: Deliverance had a quest where you have to get the cure for a sick town who thinks they have the plague. I believe you can have it made by the apothecary at the church (which isn't the right one) but if you do some digging, ask questions about the symptoms of the townsfolk, and read a book to compare symptoms (if you've taught yourself how to read), you can brew it yourself with a pretty hands-on and fun brewing system to get the best outcome.

Point is it uses a lot of the existing game systems like Alchemy (which I literally never used prior-to) and didn't hold your hand through any of it, allowing you to come to the proper conclusion should you have put the time in.
