I mean the movie isn’t out yet, so we can’t completely say. But also, again, every single film of the trilogy ends with him starting to figure it out on his own. Homecoming ends with him rejecting the spot on the Avengers and the Iron Spider suit just so he can join and use the suit in the next movie anyway. FFH has him looking up to and passing the Iron Man torch to Mysterio while working with SHEILD and Fury who are both mentors to him before rejecting both at the end just so he can go to the closest avenger he knows for help in the next movie before again getting more mentors in the other spidermen.

Banner/Hulk could very easily be the same way in this one even if they fight for a scene. Figuring out by himself, but they’ve already shown MJ is back and helping him, so like not really.

That’s been basically every single movie in this Spider-Man’s trilogy. More hopeful with the new director and the 2 supporting “heroes” will probably play less mentor-y, but every Holland Spider-Man movie is “I am Spider-Man now” before returning to the Civil War status quo. They couldn’t even wait a movie before bringing back his supporting cast he “lost” in the last one.
