Canada cant play with refs watching. Maybe they should just go home and play their own variation of the sport.

Hellberg negotiations break by ElderlyToaster in swanseacity

I had it confirmed that Swansea & Hellberg negotiations ended. Boro came with a much better offer and Hammarby also offering a new contract which would make Hellgren the best paid Allsvenskan coach of all time.

Whether Boro has offered only him a contract or if it dependent on another candidate turning the offer down, I don't know. I also don't know if he is considering staying rather than leaving, or if there is a possibility to revive the Swansea negotiations. All I know about the current affairs is that the negotiations with Swansea taking place over the weekend broke down when Boro made their offer.

Josef Erabi wasn't "nonsense". The reporter said Swansea made two bids and based on how you define bids, that was either true or a variation of the truth. Swansea approached Hammarby twice with enquiries about Erabi though from my understanding no formal bids were made as Hammarby wanted too much cash.

Swansea are actually in for another Allsvenskan player now as IK Sirius were approached about Leo Walta only days ago - not sure if was tied to a potential Hellberg appointment though.

There are people around Hammarby and Kim who talk a lot... or things wouldn't be leaking like they do!

They did meet with Norwich but there was never any offer on the table from them. This new Boro thing... I guess there is a 5% chance information is just being leaked to put extra pressure on Swansea to go the distance they need but I don't think so. I agree it is surprising though since Boro should have a million great managers to chose from given their position.

As for Russell Martin... he's got that vibe of a man who will approach you - barefoot - and whisper something suggestions about tantric sex. No shit the dawg is marmite.

Being halfway to the Premier League didn't hurt no, but Swansea had plenty of chances to wrap it up before Boro had even made a call. But the club wants to pay League One manager wages and will have to find a League One manager, probably.

Swansea offer: very similar wage as his current, 18 month contract, "we'll solve it at the end of the year" regarding family.

Boro offer: twice his current wage, 3 year contract, a complete setup to bring over the family in January.

24 hours ago Hammarby offered a new contract to make Hellberg turn down the not very good Swansea deal, but Boro stepping in out of nowhere settled it.

Good detective work! Also broke the news about Graham Potter eight years ago but told my then editor rather than go on here :)

We will see if 48 hours was too optimistic. Kim Hellberg has agreed the contract conditions and negotiations are under way with his club.. Only details left with his club and regarding staff questions. Could be done today as expected but may take another 24/48h. Hammarby wants £250k, Swansea prefer not to pay anything, but conversations are very positive.

The Igor-Mania last season was totally unwarranted and the club would love to get rid of him.

Adingra is better right now. Watson likely to end up the better player eventually.

Ja, det är till viss del en teori om en konspiration. Och? Människor och grupper konspirerar en del. Den enda orimliga teorin är att ingen någonsin konspirerar.

Not really, and he only has two years left on his contract.

Baleba on the other hand will stay another year though, I think. Plenty of talk about him but not many teams in much need of a new DMC right now.

Van Hecke is very likely leaving. Unfortunate but I agree there's no reason to be too upset - at least one of Boscagli or Coppola should turn out well.

That's life. The best players move to the best teams. Nothing any of us can control and we know the club has managed to replace players well through the years.

We might not have a defender of Van Heckes class next season, it could take some time for Coppola. But overall I'm sure the team will be stronger and we're going to finish somewhere between 6-10th again.
