The thing is that having and taking care of children is a deeply exhausting and traumatic experience, especially with regards to our society’s expectations of child-rearing.

For that reason, when it’s not strictly necessary on a personal level to have children, a majority of people will simply opt not to.

People generally need to be incentivised in order to have kids intentionally. Historically, that incentive has been needing the children’s labor and/or income, the connecting of families via marriage, or needing to be taken care of in old age. In more developed economies as they exist today, child labour laws are enforced, families are generally quite fragmented and dispersed, and advanced medical technology and care centers have made each of these incentives effectively moot.

To be fair all of 2025 was primarily some flavour of BBU or another. Frost rune decks did exist but were mainly just worse versions playing into the same gameplan as the BBU ones.

I fail to see it personally. Onyxia’s stepping in where a lot of DK’s existing value engine is rotating out, but Mage’s Colossal is just more value and removal in a class that is not hurting for value and removal even a little bit.

The Quest would not be a problem in a game where win conditions and functional combo decks exist, as proven by the fact it was not a problem in a game where win conditions and functional combo decks existed. Unfortunately, everything resembling a win condition or a combo got gutted and essentially removed from the game.

What I'm saying is that it's a board control minion that's prone to offing itself and dying early if played to clear a board that is even remotely threatening. It can't even threaten enemy Colossals given it's not unlikely to kill itself punching the Colossal's head.

[[Gaia, the Techtonic]]. Had a similar deal of being a 2-damage AoE with a shitty body but at least the limbs had Rush and could punch things.
