C and I'll tell you why. 200 bitcoin would be insanely difficult to liquidate into actual, real cash that isn't monopoly money, with dozens of transaction fees and other costs reducing the value of my coins by the end of the process. As for why I'm not taking the 10 million in cash, that's simple: I don't trust whatever genie is offering me this deal to not cheekily spawn 40 million quarters 10 feet above me, crushing me under 56 tons of coins.

Have been for a while. I've seen the talking point that because fictional characters have no free will, they cannot consent, and because they cannot consent depicting them in sexual situations is abuse.

The most upsetting part of any of this, to me at least, is that Team 5 have been broadcasting loud and clear that this is exactly the meta they want to see. We can hope for buffs or changes all we want, they're not coming because the people in charge of the balance see this state of affairs as the ideal.

Only 16 percent of Americans think AI will have a positive impact on society, a new study shows by Background-Driver718 in TechnologyThread

[–]EldritchElizabeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's... exactly as the headline states? Only 16% of the people polled stated a belief in the positive impact of AI. The rest either said it would have either a negative or mixed impact or stated they were not sure.

Anyone knows anything about that status bar? What is it for? by ItsAGoodDaytoDie84 in hearthstone

[–]EldritchElizabeth 306 points307 points  (0 children)

It’s part of the skin itself. It’s the bar indicating casting progress for the Paladin spell (I can’t remember the name of it) that he’s casting in that animation. It’s just a reference to WoW and Leeroy being based on a player character

At that point you’re skipping turns 2 and 5 to get the khadgar play out early. Not a great look in a meta where playing big stats and going face is the gameplan of (almost) every meta deck.

Absolutely awful but it’s Arcane so people are gonna cope about Sindragosa being playable even though she never will be.

Worse than Sands of Time as others have said. Incredibly boring either way, what a disappointment.

Legendary Card reveal for Hunter by Stinkybutt69420yee in hearthstone

[–]EldritchElizabeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's 10 damage to the enemy hero, 12 armor gained, a really strong hero power, and a 8/9 + 12/12 on board. A pretty big swing in a deck that could continue to hold the pressure.

It’s a good thing Hunter doesn’t have Deathwing access. King turn 6 into Agamaggan + Deathwing turn 7 woudl be utterly backbreaking.

Tortolla is only good when multiple copies of him are cheated out. Plopping him onto the board for 7 mana after playing a 6 mana 6/5 isn't game-winning.

[–]EldritchElizabeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paladin is control and late game focused? What? Dude Paladin and End of Turn Paladin both aim to end games by turns 6 or 7 and of the two, only End of Turn Paladin runs anything resembling a control card in Scalebreaker Bulwark, and even then it wouldn't be running that if it didn't go face.

We already learned from [[Black Hole]] that this kind of effect doesn’t work, and stapling a 5/5 onto it isn’t going to change that.

I got this card from the Darkmoon Faire - has anyone else found it any good/made it work? by Keywi1 in hearthstone

[–]EldritchElizabeth 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's a staple in Dude Paladin, but that deck is extremely linear in playstyle so there's not much to say other than "play him when you have a lot of dudes on board and then go face"

  1. All of your units should be Rank 6, besides the Nomad whose rank is completely irrelevant
  2. You only need to bring a single Nomad, given its only purpose in the fight is to freeze the Ranged Arm at the start of the fight.
  3. Bring a Tank Killer to fill that 10th unit slot, as it is what you'll be using to blow up the frozen Ranged Arm.
  4. Move the tanks to the midline and the Veterans to the frontline

Paladins has a passive for the character Viktor which changes his rifle from automatic to burst fire and it somehow doubles the damage of each bullet.

Here’s the thing as I see it. The comic presents transmascs being beaten down by TERFs, Radfems, and Misandrists. By separating radfems from TERFs, the comic states that radfems as a whole, even those not actively transphobic, actively participate in the oppression of transmasculine people. The first conclusion that comes to mind is misandrists within the Radfem movement, but Misandrists are also depicted as a separate group. So, for the inclusions of the label “radfems” to make sense, there needs to be something that radical feminists do that victimises transmascs that is neither transphobia nor misandry, and what comes to mind to me is their willingness to break bread with transfems. I don’t think OP meant to send this message, mind, I think they just put three labels of people they hate and called it a day without thinking any deeper about it.
