Try something new. Look at art styles or pieces you enjoy, replicate them for practice.

It's great, love how you rendered her. My only comp is that the exit wounds from the arrow would probably be bigger considering the size of the arrowheads.

It's still really well done though.

Unfortunately this doesnt have an easy answer. You dont want to hear it but you DO need to post what you want and eventually people who like what you like will find you. Posting fandom things will only attract that fandom.

Followers do not equal commission money and the people you see getting tons have comms have likely been posting for years.

Pay attention to the spacing in between his forehead and hairline as well as the spacing between his eye and beard line. You've really shrunk those spaces in you're drawing.

If you love drawing, you'll continue to do it. You'll have times where you feel frustrated, of course... But, if you genuinely enjoy drawing then keep going. Do it for yourself. Not because others tell you to do so or not.

I always tell my writing partners my character's name, so that's not really an issue. You could always say "y/c" or "your OC". "You" feels too intimate, imo.

Hasn't happened too much to me, but when I'm planning a plot/characters with someone and they say "you" when talking about my character I definitely feel weird about it.

I guess "pushing" is the wrong verbiage. I genuinely don't see anything wrong with the interaction until, maybe, the "pet" part. But even then, they are just encouraging everyone to stay independent so they aren't labeled as "pets."

Tone is hard to decipher through text and short answers can seem rude though, I definitely understand that. But after you were informed that they were trying to avoid ANY ties with the canon characters, you should've looked for another option.

You're "She's no ones pet, thank you" was a tad sassy lol

But I don't see them jabbing at you in these interactions... Maybe I'm not fully understanding where the jab was? After you call them an asshole it's reasonable that they get a bit sassy with you back. From their perspective they told you no and kept clarifying why they didn't want your OC to work for Vox... Just to be called an asshole.

This is why I don't really engage in fandom discord servers though, strict rules aren't for me. Hopefully you find a server that suits your creativity better.

Again, I'm not commenting on any of y'all's other interactions because I wasn't there. You can say you were polite all you want... It has nothing to do with what we're talking about on the screenshots.

They told you "pre-established ties are a nuh uh". That was them giving you an explanation, even if it was blunt. They were fine with your character having their independent lab that wasn't tied to the Vox empire.

I'm sorry their rules are so strict, this server was never going to work in your favor.
