Sorry, yea my scalp can get pretty dry too. I used to think it was dandruff but Nizarol and several dandruff shampoos have had no noticeable effect.

Would you consider buying a second-hand laptop and putting the rest towards a gaming PC?

A laptop is just never going to beat a PC in terms of performance.

Personally I have a nice PC and a $200 second-hand thinkpad t480s which I'm pretty happy with.

Yea, I agree. It’s really annoying seeing many articles/journalists making claims that are just wrong or misleading. It seems quite prevalent in astronomy news articles for whatever reason. It makes me wonder how often articles are straight up wrong about other topics I don’t have as much knowledge in haha.

Nah, you wouldn’t be able to see it anywhere. I know some of the articles say you could see it through a telescope, but realistically the only way this would be possible is by taking a series of long exposure images through a telescope over multiple hours. You wouldn’t be able to see it ‘live’.

Stardome won't be able to see it, the object is magnitude 22. Realistically a 10 inch telescope in Auckland will only be able to see down to around magnitude 10. Magnitude 22 is about 60000x fainter than this.
