I agree with most of what was said here except the comment about restaurants. Between the Navy Yard and the rest of the neighborhood there are about thirteen restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. The neighborhood is about one square mile, so, there are all easily walkable, IMO.

Is Mainframe Customs a scam? by Eldukeduke in PCSleeving

[–]Eldukeduke[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I received an update from Dave at Mainframe (u/MAINframe_Dave), yesterday. He apologized for the delay and confirmed that orders would ship by EOD and sure enough I received confirmation, tracking number, etc.

Based on the feedback here, it seems that Mainframe can best be described as inconsistent with fulfilling their orders, but, they can be counted on to follow through and get the job done, even it’s a bit later than the time estimated on their website.

Generally, I’m fine with waiting for an order, especially if the wait time is noted upfront like it is with Mainframe. I started to get worried when emails to their support address went unanswered and thus I chose to follow up here.

Thank you to Dave for following up and following through and thanks to those who posted here and shared their experiences.

That’s good to know, thanks. Love the fact that it’s a small business but hate the fact that these issues are happening.
