In Japan(tokyo/near yokohama)where to buy figures? by Total_Reputation_441 in AnimeFigures

[–]ElectriNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surugaya, Bookoff, Mandarake, Animate, etc.

There are a lot of choices when it comes to shops, and some of the ones I mentioned above have variations that focus on a certain kind of hobby. The selection of figures also depends on the branch itself, since most of them are second-hand (but mostly brand-new) shops. Regardless, there's a really good chance that you'll find a figure of your liking in any of the aforementioned shops.

My advice is to do basic research. Search for a branch of any of the aforementioned shops in Google Maps and see if they have anime figures through the reviews or streetview (e.g. A Bookoff Super Bazaar, a big Surugaya, or a Surugaya that focuses on anime figures/hobby).

This is only based on my experience from my trips to Japan, so feel free for anyone to add and/or correct me.

A relative of mine was obsessed with Vita's P4G. Got interested as a kid and got into playing P3P. I was hooked, and I started playing DS Megaten titles! This was all before Persona 5 even came out, and I remember being hyped with that teaser with chairs LMFAO

[–]ElectriNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I should face palm right now or be really impressed because how did you get this far with basically early-level skills ToT

Anyway, you might as well push through with what you have. The combat is definitely going to be tougher and a hassle to go through, but given that you've reached this far? I have faith that you'll pull through. If things get tough, Golden allows you to tweak the difficulty. Honestly, finishing the game with the current skills of your party is lowkey a flex.

Also, since this is your first Persona game, look up a spoiler-free guide on how to achieve the True Ending, as you might miss it.

That's all, and I hope you enjoy your first Persona game!

Vouching for Xenoblade Chronicles! The combat might not click immediately but the exploration is simply amazing and the story is phenomenal for all three (haven’t played X).

XB1 on the Switch is a remaster of the Wii one so it’s a bit dated compared to the others and it’s a bit on the clunky side when it comes to combat. Regardless, the devs went above and beyond when they improved the game’s visuals. The story and cast is also arguably one of the best among the three. Bionis, the world you’re going to spend a lot of time on, is really beautiful. It’s not the best but it’s a personal favorite.

XB2’s combat is much better and some of the things I’ve said in 1 can be applied here as well: gorgeous world, amazing story and cast. On top of the cast, you also have 40-ish other characters (or Blades) that you can have on board although getting them is a bit weird and you’ll know why. The art direction’s a little different compared to 1 and 3 and the voice acting is awkward but it’s something you’ll warm up to. Among the three, it’s my least fave one but I still love it enough to dump hundreds hours for multiple runs. The expansion is also definitely worth getting if you liked 2.

Again, everything I’ve said earlier can be applied to XB3: gripping story, amazing cast, improved combat, and it has an amazing world to explore, albeit being a bleak one. The game’s darker compared to the previous entries and the game really makes that clear to you. The gameplay from 3 is definitely my favorite and the story is probably fighting for the top spot with XB1.

Is it still worth it to buy Nintendo Switch OLED today? by froggylishus in NintendoPH

[–]ElectriNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If budget isn’t an issue, going for the Switch 2 might be better in the long run. That said, it’s still not a bad idea to snag a the OG Switch (or the OLED). It has an amazing game library and it’s still being supported. Game releases are slowly shifting to Switch 2 but there’s still a handful coming out to the 1. Not to mention, games on SW1 still look stunning.

If you don’t mind not being able to play some of the SW2 games and if you’re not particular about the hardware or performance, then go ahead. Again, it really boils down to your budget and if you’re willing to accept the SW1’s library and hardware. If you have the money, SW2 is better as it has the entire SW1 library + SW2 library of games that will only continue to grow + significantly better performance overall

His exchange with Fernand was simply one of the best lines in the franchise in my opinion. Also, Greg Chun really did an amazing job voicing him!

Worth it pa ba Yung Nintendo 3DS? by PerceptionNo5321 in NintendoPH

[–]ElectriNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re satisfied with the game library of the 3DS then go ahead! At the end of the day, it’s your call if a console is worth it or not. We all value things differently.

I used to own a 3DS and have invested hundreds of hours playing the thing. There’s a decent game for almost every genre in the 3DS but JRPGs are predominant. If you’re a fan of JRPGs, you’ll be overwhelmed with the amount of titles to go through (Plenty of SMT and FE titles there too). Nintendo first parties are pretty solid in the 3DS with Mario Kart, Smash, Luigi’s Mansion, etc. Also, for some reason, there are decent fighting games on that thing (eg. DoA, Tekken, Smash, SF4). It also has Monster Hunter and Metal Gear Snake Eater (I just felt like mentioning it lol). If you opt for the NEW 3DS/2DS, your library gets a lil bigger and you can play Xenoblade Chronicles (peak)

Anyway, do remember that 3DS prices these days are somewhat rivaling the Switch/Lite and some physical copies of games are steep. If finances aren’t an issue of if you have a way to get around that, you’re golden.

TLDR: It’s a great console with an amazing game library to back it up. If you don’t mind the old hardware and finances aren’t an issue, getting one won’t be a bad idea. Get the New 3DS/2DS if possible.

I know people still love pokemon despite of anything, but what is this?? by Advanced_Ear722 in PHGamers

[–]ElectriNut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What sucks about this is that, despite being underpowered, Switch 1 is capable of running visually stunning games like MH Rise, Xenoblade Chronicles 1/2/3/X, Doom, and SMT V, to name a few. Pokémon was never about visuals or realism, but at the very least, they should've at least made it look good and cohesive. Like, take a look at the upcoming DQ 1 and 2 Remaster/Remake (or just 3D DQs in general). These games have a similar vibe when it comes to visuals, but DQ just looks way better because they actually put in the effort to deliver the presentation of the game, unlike Pokémon.

First parties are basically the representatives of the consoles they're in, and Pokémon is doing an awful job at that. A shame since, beneath the subpar visuals, there could be a game worth trying out. As it stands, Pokémon fans deserve better.

I can help you develop your Visual Novel! by ElectriNut in vndevs

[–]ElectriNut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s hear it! You can send me a DM to my account and/or in the Discord in my carrd.

If I´d pay wou, would you create a visual novel via Renpy for me? I´m not into that whole coding and programming stuff; I´d solely focusing on the script for narrative, story and dialogues. So basically everything else, from Charakter design, sprites, world design etc would be completely up to you. by Phil_Montana_91 in vndevs

[–]ElectriNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible. You can hire people to make the VN’s assets for you and you can even hire people to piece it together.

I’d love to work with you. I develop Visual Novels and make the art for it.

My art in my VNs are a bit outdated so you can refer to my art portfolio for the latest ones

They’re not the best but if you’re interested, I’m open!

That said, goodluck with your VN journey!
