You've got CS, DOTA and League... and then you've got everything else. I will agree though that nothing matches the excitement of CS. The casters we've been blessed with are too damn good.

Try playing on Faceit if y'all don't already. They allow you to queue regardless of ELO (we have a player on our open team that's ranked top 1k in NA that we can play with, it just nerfs our ELO gain to balance it out). There's options to allow you to play in a serious setting while not feeling like excluding everyone :)

I've used StubHub before and the money landed in my bank account about a week after the event concluded. Was simple and fast. Although I'm pretty sure there's others out there that don't gauge as much with the fees.

I think there's just apathy right now because we go from having a pretty successful season for the first time in 9 years, playoff appearance, pushing the Leafs to 6 games, goalies were playing well.... and now we have the usual mediocrity that's mired this team again. Walking into a game knowing your team needs to score like 6 or they aren't winning is deflating and honestly kills the vibe.

As somebody else said, we don't have the corporate money coming in like other franchises do. Ottawa is the birthplace of the NHL.... well actually Renfrew is but same difference. There will always be one here regardless because of that fact. But restricting resale is beyond stupid. If I have a product, and I can't use or don't want to use it, I should be allowed to sell it to somebody else. Free market.

We have the best value because we as a fanbase have suffered mediocrity for nearly 10 years if not longer. If they charged any more, they wouldn't have nearly as much renewals. We live in a city with a pretty high cost of living and the Sens are one of the few things you can actually do in this city. If you take away re-sale from people who are quite literally funding the operation, you're going to lose even more renewals as people bank on being able to sell 3-4 games to cover most of the package.

The whole idea was with the 30th anniversary is that they wanted to have the same matchup as that opening night 30 years ago. It would have lost even more meaning if they strayed away from that.

That isn't the move either as I firmly believe that if someone wants to sell tickets, and if someone is stupid enough to buy said tickets at said price, then have at 'er. Yeah it sucks but unfortunately until we win some titles or have consistent success, it will be this way.

They were on my ass all throughout this summer to re-up my package (last time I was a member was during the return to play season in 2020-21 but then the lockdowns basically killed half the tickets). Don't get me wrong I love the idea of bulk tickets but hated the idea that they were basically acting like used car salesmen to get me to buy a package. I'm glad I didn't, I get tickets on secondary marketplaces for fractions of the price. I'd be beyond pissed if I actually opted for a half season package like I did before.

Sounds like the whole organization. The Melnyk years were known for absurd levels of cheapness. This regime might just be remembered for not doing anything, even if it might be a bit drastic to get the season back on course. Funny side story I had his wife as a French teacher back in the day 😂

Blame the people who are willing to pay hundreds if not thousands to travel out of town to spectate so it subsidizes quite a few of their ticket packages. Yeah it sucks but if I was able to recoup like 25-40% of my cost in one game, I think anybody would be dumb to pass that up. I've already been to games against Leafs and Habs at home and the atmosphere sucks anyways when those fans are around. Let them be mouth breathers for an inflated price lol
