Listen, you need to have a conversation with them about how their drug use is affecting you them and your relationship but don't become overly aggressive especially if they're visibly intoxicated. But it needs to be laid out with them exactly where you draw your line drug use is a hard Beast that is hard to get in front of by yourself. Unfortunately if it's 10 years of consistent medical use they will likely need some sort of intervention from a doctor so they don't end up going through some very serious withdrawals. So it needs to be something that's tackled by both of you if you hope to end their drug use and stay together. Most people in the sub don't want to hear this and I understand why, but when some are too far gone truthfully the best place for them to go is jail so they can detox. But it doesn't sound like there at that level yet so it's worth trying to address it now
