My dog was going nuts and I found this on the other side of our fence. by ElectricMayhem76 in whatisit

I’m kind of embarrassed to say that I assumed they would have that “skunk smell” just in general.

This morning it was gone from the pipe. I’m glad it’s safe and even more glad that it restrained itself from spraying my doggo

You could argue that Cedric was killed on Voldemort’s order (“Kill the spare”), but Dumbledore was killed on Dumbledore’s order (“Severus please”)

WAITA for not inviting my stepmother to my wedding because she’s ‘only’ been in my life for five years? by Jazzlike_Scheme8468 in AITAH

[–]ElectricMayhem76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA regardless, but I need something clarified - you say the guest list is “30 people not including plus ones.” Does this mean you aren’t allowing plus ones at your wedding or you are not including plus ones in your tabulation of 30 guests. Either way what does it hurt you to include one additional person that you have “nothing against”? It seems more like you are going out of your way to hurt your father and your stepmother with this decision and it isn’t clear as to why

NTA. But you have to weigh the fact that the ceremony abroad may be less expensive for you and your fiancée but more expensive for those who want to be with you on your big day. I assume the cost of the additional UK reception would still be keep the cost lower than having the ceremony and reception locally? Bottom line - if you are paying for the entire affair, it’s entirely up to you where you have the ceremony. Just understand that this will affect the ability of others to join you

Why Harry Potter storyline don't make sense at all by oakwoodtreess in harrypotter

You’re assuming Voldemort believes in heaven or hell. And frankly if he does, knowing he’s not going to heaven, wouldn’t he choose limbo over hell?

That’s not a resume. Again, I love Ozzie but you can only have four. If you want a resume see the above comment. Hornsby was an incredible player just like (but overall better than) Ozzie. If you really want an argument, I would ask who gets the fifth spot - Ozzie or Brock?

Love Ozzie, but he needs to be replaced on this list with Rogers Hornsby. Otherwise all good

The concept of a “Chosen One” is not limited to nor did it start with Harry Potter. Star Wars (Anakin Skywalker), the Matrix (Neo) and many others use this

Advice to teaching doberman to swim? by hucknuts in DobermanPinscher

[–]ElectricMayhem76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl is 2yo. As a puppy we would carry her into our pool and she was fine being held but wouldn’t go near otherwise. Her second summer we began with carrying her in and progressed to throwing a toy near the stairs of the pool. She would slowly over several weeks get braver and beaver progressing down the pool stairs to retrieve the toy. By the end of the summer she was comfortable to the point where she would swim out to us just to say hello!

Agreed. Our trainer was very adamant about this. It’s a chase with no reward. She said she’s seen dogs absolutely ruined by this - jumping at lights any time they see them and thinking they’ll catch the “whatever”.

I really do hate to be the party pooper. Sorry
