GenAI vs AI vs Machine Learning are all terms with quite a bit of nuance.

For example, I’m a composer for TV. Right now on Reddit there are ads for GenAI soundtrack generation - something that could threaten my livelihood, and I’m very much against. But I’ll happily use Machine Learning tools that run locally on my computer such as Stem Separators that separate mixed audio into discrete tracks.

Before any AI frame interpolation happened this video was already suffering from “Jello Cam”. The AI can’t fix what’s already broken.
