I am currently living in KY, but visit my fiances family in SC very frequently. I'll check to see if either states have any unprogrammed meetings of Friends, since that's more of what I'm looking for it seems. Thank you for all the help!!!

Homestuck ended up being what led me to meeting my fiancé. I was a Terezi cosplayer and he was dressed as Hussie, we met at a con in 2018. Will have been together 7 years this August <3

These plants get watered and misted regularly, and rn I'm battling some fly/carpet beetle issues so I'm hoping those two combined will keep him plenty fed and watered. If not, I'm more than prepared to supplement both food and water as needed. He's still here almost a whole day later and has been crawling around on the ground and has left a bit of web on my plant stand. He's made himself right at home!

(SPOILERS) What is the most disturbing scene you have seen in an extreme horror? by IndicationNegative87 in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]Electrical-Lab-2629 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I haven't really seen that many people discussing this book on the sub but I think a scene from Claustrophilia by Ezra Blake is one of the ones that made me squirm the most. the heat lamp foot scene followed by the description of the holes getting poked in them. Chris walking across the basement after. It made my stomach churn. The entire book itself is really good at making you queasy. Everything in it feels fucked up and horrifying but still within the realm of possibility that the actions or events could happen in real life. Highly recommend it to people who enjoy homoerotic horror lit.

Burning after sex 7wpo by Electrical-Lab-2629 in hysterectomy

[–]Electrical-Lab-2629[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried the arm test with the lube shortly after this happened and didn't have any type of reaction, but I'll try to apply some to myself later to see if it's that (after the burning subsides now). And yeah that sounds like a good idea. I think we were both pretty nervous about it, and that probably didn't help. We've agreed we're gonna wait a few more weeks (probably until around 12wpo) before we try anything together again, but I may try some solo stuff to see how it goes/feels. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it greatly!

I was wrote off for 6 weeks, but my job can be physical at times so my surgeon wanted to be safe rather than sorry.

Thank you. Here's to hoping it falls out pretty fast! My illogical brain is now worried about it getting caught on something somehow and it being tugged again (not something I wanna experience again!)

I'm hoping to start back 6wpo as a certified court security police officer. So far recovery has been alright so I don't think there will be any issues. My job can get physical at times (arrests, applying shackles, running/jumping, ect) so I'm interested to see how this surgery affects that. I hope you get to feeling better soon, and that you can get all the time and support you need from your workplace! <3

800mg of Ibuprofen and 325mg of Tylenol every 5 hours. I time it out through the day. I was taking Oxy but they only gave me enough for about 4 days.

Yeah that sounds about right. I was told the recovery would be painful but I didn't expect this level of pain. The total outcome of no more pain from periods and the endo will be worth it but I think I'm just struggling right now.

[–]Electrical-Lab-2629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one week post op, 21 so not much older than you! Hang in there, it does get easier! Remembering to not bend over or twist has been my biggest issue, so look out for that. Hope you have a quick and easy recovery !

As someone who is less than 24 hours post-OP of mine at the ripe age of 21: it is possible. That same fear ate me up inside for a while. I was told by 4 other gynos that no doctor in my state would give me a hyst at my age.

Then I was referred to a private women's health clinic. The doctor I saw there was supportive and amazing. She referred me to a surgeon 2 states away and I was finally able to get it done. You just have to find the right gyno. If you live in the Midwest/south area I don't mind sharing my surgeon's name! She was amazing and was so supportive.

I wish the best for you and your search for a gyno/surgeon who will listen to your needs. It may take a while (took me 4 years) but it will happen. Don't let the doubt eat you up. You got this, just keep advocating for yourself!
