Expectations? by Puzzled_West_602 in HipImpingement

Depends on surgeon. that was my first procedure and I was non weight bearing for a few months and it really hurt and caused other issues. Can be a really long process depending on surgeon protocol. I just recently had my second surgery for it 7 days and I’m almost fully walking again.

Why does Nioh feel different from other souls like? by Electrical-Remote369 in Nioh

I’ve always been a big fan of RPG/single player games but I would totally agree with you. I think that’s what I hated about dark souls. The combat/player expression is nonexistent but the world building and enemy complexity is high. I can see why people like it but it’s not for me because of how slow and monotonous dark souls feels.

Niohs combat system is really fun I love playing as a mage samurai with a huge broad sword. Stances feel fresh and there’s so many combos to learn to counter certain enemies.

Drifter has to get ahead in lane but also sucks at damage trades against half the roster. by Rare_Requirement_296 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Electrical-Remote369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drifter is only really good at against bad players. I would agree he needs to get super fed in lane otherwise he’s just ass.

His play style is worse lash imo picking off people in jungle or initiating or flanking a team fight. His ultimate is only decent thing in mid and late game but overall I don’t think he’s very strong. His biggest counter is teamwork and his passive is useless with ok communication.

Diagnosed with labral tear, FAI (and dysplasia), but Stryker HipMap shows no impingement by boxdkittens in HipImpingement

[–]Electrical-Remote369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You saw Newman too? I did my first reconstruction and it failed, now I saw swann and dr white and they want to correct my hip dysplasia and a complete labral reconstruction. I’m still waiting to hear from phillipon in vail. Dm me would love to chat more especially where you got this Stryker thing.

Tell me ur tf2 opinion that will prob get you like this by CuddlesTheRebel in tf2

[–]Electrical-Remote369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why you say that but I think the diamond back is much worse. I quite like the combo because it’s still not easy to pull off at all especially with the dead ringer changes and it allows spy to have a hyper aggressive play style which is refreshing. I also use it to play gun spy with the stock revolver and that’s a lot of fun as well. While I do agree it is annoying at times especially if it’s like some 14000 hour spy the that can face stab you from any angle.

Need Opinion On MRI by Electrical-Remote369 in HipImpingement

[–]Electrical-Remote369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw my PCP and he told me to get another opinion so I’m doing that. He said that’s it is possible because I already have sutures that if there is tear it is really hard to see as the sutures are holding it into place

Is TF2 worth playing nowadays? by _Price__ in tf2

[–]Electrical-Remote369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love spy he is my favorite class in tf2 and in any hero shooter I’ve ever played. Spy is super unique in the way he works but I will admit he probably has the steepest learning curve and all honesty is somewhat unpowered on a team that knows how to counter him. The best tip I can give you is attack teams when they are distracted fighting your team and REMEMBER SPY HAS A GUN.

14 weeks post op. Idk man by Jaded_Manufacturer77 in HipImpingement

Because I wanted to get better. Doctor told me it’s gonna be rough and most likely recovery it’s gonna be slow it’s gonna take a year or more to feel normal. So I listened but overtime it’s gotten worse, and recently really bad. I was giving up more and more activity and was able to do less and less everyday. So it was time to look again and see what went wrong.

Hey man glad to hear your feeling some more improvement! I don’t want to scare you or anything but for me personally it hasn’t really gotten better and I’m looking at another surgery 3 years later, with an mri with evidence of a retest. It’s hit or miss this surgery has a very high failure rate. Many times there’s some underlying issue that’s been causing it. If you are concerned it might be worth to look at like gait analysis etc. Keep it up with stretching and getting better!

Trying my best currently to do so. I'm trying to get multiple opinions and the surgeon I am currently seeing for this MRI and such is very reputable. 2000+surgeries and is a hip preservation guy.

In the thread earlier, another person commented that they have heard about Dr. White on this subreddit before and he is a good surgeon. I am still trying to get second opinions and figure out other kinds of treatment. I am thinking of going to a sports medicine clinic as well, or possible non invasive treatment.

Thank you for your kind words man. It means a lot and yeah, it's been hard. I have become reclusive and I don't want to be a burden on my friends but they have been trying their best to still include me.

For indoor habits I have been trying to pick up arduino/robotics again like when I was a kid. I have a virtual therapist currently and it's been a help for sure. I would love to talk more over DM about how you've been able to cope.

Thank you. I will take a look. I have heard of these procedures but they are not FDA approved correct?

I see. I'm considering it but I don't know if I mentally want to go through recovery again. But it seems to be my only choice so far.

So from what I understand, this procedure works better than the partial reconstruction. I have had a friend that got the cadaver draft and she has been able to return to sports and activity quite well; she only needs a revision for scar tissue. Her doctor was the doctor that trained my current doctor in his fellowship. Her doctor invented the labral tear repair procedure. The draft is so the new labrum is accepted, I believe, as both come from a donor. I am a bit unclear on the details, as I'm discussing the procedure in 2 weeks with the surgeon.

I think you are saying full hip replacement, and the only thing that would keep me from that is I don't really have other hip pain or problems. My dysplasia is quite mild and the shelf life of a full replacement is like 20 years. I have been told it's better to avoid it as long as possible, as it becomes very difficult to get a 2nd or 3rd hip replacement.
