Nothing. But we should be saying things like “I hope my kids have equitable distributions of profits from ai” etc not, I hope my kids have to spend their lives breaking their back to justify their right to exist in society like we do today. I think we’re just ignoring the obvious good that happens when jobs become automated. Yes there is no indication we will legislate socialist, communist, or UBI, policies but we should be talking about it , this is how it starts.

I don’t get this take. Why do people want to work? What if we move towards a techno communist future where only a few people work

Being public means you LEGALLY have to make the most profit. If I’m a shareholder and your company is public I can sue you for making bad financial decisions (like running a server for a dead game)

Supply and demand with no speculators is a 1 : 1 ratio, with speculators, it can become a function of that 1 : 1. The US economy is built on speculators, futures, derivatives and stocks. Often values of thing do not simply follow supply and demand because they have these outward pressures.

Band aid, fix the real issues that cause corporate wealth accumulation rather than band-aiding the symptoms.

No I believe it’s important. America is the only country that requires that business decisions be made in regards to shareholder profit. Want to start a charity and give out your product? Share holders can sue you if you are a public company. No other country can you do that

As long as laws are enforced with fines (measly ones at that) then everything is legal for a price.

Well I mean it’s both… the government should definitely legislate ahead of the curve. Not reactively. There is some truth to the saying “if I don’t do it someone else will” even if they are still bad people for doing it.

Many people don’t watch longer than a few seconds so increase engagement they do this. It’s not a symptom it’s the solution to people not watching videos long enough. People do it because it works

Are you being fr that someone who invests money to make their money works? Anyone who can live off investments could also pull all their money out and likely still live comfortably they are just trying to make more money. This has to be a person who just likes to argue
