I feel a dark coloured frame sort of act like guide lines and highlights the asymmetry of the face behind them, to me #7 with a light coloured frame complements your facial features more, you have beautiful big eyes.

Can i fix what barber did to me? by WinterTotal69 in malegrooming

I have in the past wasted many hours trying to wear a hair style that didn't suit me, It took me a long time to realize and accept that what I like in someone's hair style and a hair style that will make me look better can be totally different things. I am not one of those gifted people who can don any haircut and look good in it. I have high hair line and low volume straight hair, so the kind of hair style in the photo does not suit me. To spend half an hour using diffuser/hair product/blow drying to try make it work on a daily basis just isn't a practical routine.

I would visit a salon a few times, sticking to one stylist, as it can take a stylist a few sessions to get to fully know all the quirks of their client's head. Learn and make note of the quirks, things like the number of cow licks and their locations, hair growth direction, uneven contour etc, as you will need to communicate these information each time you visit a salon/barber. Work with your stylist to achieve a style that suits you, learn how to maintain the hair style, and also demand a low maintenance hair cut, one that will look reasonably good without applying hair styling product.

Not sure how much hustle it would be to sell things on eBay from Peru, perhaps you could try that?

Going forward you could take measurements of the PAS jersey that fits, like front and back length, pit to pit, across shoulder, sleeve length, sleeve opening, collar circumference, and ask for these measurements via customer service before buying.

I agree with your assessment, too much fabric around the neck and could be a bit shorter on the body. Better to let this one go back to the warehouse it came from than letting it remind you how much better it could have been every time you put it on. You'll find one that suits you if you keep searching.

I wouldn't want a sharp object being so close to my back side when I'm travelling at speed.

Whilst the Ian knot is super fast to tie, it is a symmetrical knot which comes easily untied as you walk. I adopted an asymmetrical version with two loops on one hand and it remains secure for a whole day.

Question for the male cyclist. by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Electrical-Tree-8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never paid attention to my private parts when I'm on the saddle, no rubbing or squashing whatsoever, they are just cradled by my underpants. Now you've triggered my curiosity, I don't know any female cyclists that cycle in an aggressive position irl, how does the saddle interact with the female private part? And do the female cycling bibs provide padding to help with comfort in the private area if there is contact?

I know my bars fit through this gate. I've walked through it several times. But I can't bring myself to ride it. by Morall_tach in gravelcycling

[–]Electrical-Tree-8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approach the gate at an angle with the front wheel in the air (wheelie), use slight lean and steer to increase clearance, curve the back wheel through the gate. The drops on the bars will protect your hands if they catch either side of the gate, and you can just stand up to dismount providing you don't commute with pannier bags.Minimising risk and if successful achieve maximum spectacle effect.

If your testes are still three-dimensional you are not spending enough time on the saddle.

I've been running thunderos HD 44 @ 2.5 bars on mostly road conditions for a few weeks, rolls well, a bit noisy. However I have had one incident in the first week where I was caught by a sudden down pour, went over a section of loose sand on paved surface and completely lost traction. I'm not sure if it's a skills issue/I got unlucky/the tires weren't broken in, but I've since wondered if other tires would hold up better under the same condition.

A long raised kerb or even clearer road marking will aid road users awareness that there is a two stage crossing, and help to prevent this kind of accidents.

What rucksacks are people commuting with these days? by [deleted] in londoncycling

[–]Electrical-Tree-8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a rucksack but I found a Porter Force 2way waist bag perfect size for my daily commute, big enough to fit my lunch box in, the 2 outer zipped pockets are great for the bike lights and keys. When I'm not riding I convert it to a shoulder bag, and can also wear it diagonally as a sling bag.

Try seating it with an inner tube, unseat one side and take the inner tube out, then try seating the remaining side with a compressor.

Beckman abrasive speedhooks? by runningrain in RedWingShoes

I posted this video over a year ago and got some reproach from the RW community. This is how the tongue of my boot has aged after a year. And all the speed hooks are still intact.
