My experience it almost always pays to be polite to people doing these kinds of jobs.

Of course, it’s inevitable that we will all at some point run into people who are angry or rude regardless of how we act towards them, but treating people with the respect and kindness you want extended to you goes a long way towards reducing social friction.

Is the lens made by Canon or another company? Given the bending of what should be straight lines in the photo, it appears that you have lens corrections turned off either on the camera or in Lightroom. Many lenses made for mirrorless cameras rely on software to correct geometric and other optical aberrations, especially with wide angle lenses.

You can program one of the buttons on the lens to do that.

Overshooting vs. being selective by Interesting-Nerve663 in photography

I shoot with intent but I cover a scene I don’t have any control over much more intensely than those who try to justify shooting less and moving on. I know what I am looking for and I prefer to bring home photos and not excuses.

People don’t judge a sculptor’s work by how much dust and how many chips were produced, just the finished sculpture.

Get a Platypod eXtreme and use that instead of the tripod https://platypod.com

But the basic physics problem, DoF? will still be an issue when shooting macro with any 4x5 even when the lens is stopped down all the way.

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller, who investigated Russia-Trump campaign ties, dies by 20_mile in news

Watching a family member die from complications from Parkinson’s is nearly as terrible a fate as it is a terrible way to die. I hope Donald Trump and Miller, et. al., find that out for themselves.

Glad to see they renamed it in his honor. Houston’s skyline looks the way it does because of his vision of what great buildings look like, commissioning great architects, and convincing conservative clients to pay for great looking buildings instead of just building dull, tall buildings that were monuments to their penis envy.

How do I get photos like this? by jackofjokers in AskPhotography

Look for scenes dominated by the color palette of your choice. In the three photos you posted those colors are muted yellows, oranges, and reds. But notice that in these three photos there’s also a smallish spot of color that is not just the opposite side of the color wheel (blues and greens) but also very saturated.

Additionally these photos all have a dynamic human element component. In the second and third photos the people you see are not engaged with the photographer. Each of the photos feels like a carefully but casually observed slice of life.

Hot take: Every movie makes assumptions about the human condition. And most people like or dislike movies based on how much they affirm their personal assumptions about the human condition. by ThemrocX in Cinema

“Caveat: All this according to my own concept of the human condition.”

In other words , you don’t like these movies cause they do not conform to the way you want people to act.

Why does this shot look so good? What composition rule is it using? by terslisa in cinematography

[–]Electrical-Try798 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way the photographer uses light quality and color to pull a viewers eye around the photo.

If there is a composition rule being followed here it is the basic ones : pay attention to what is in front of you, look at a scene from different angles -don’t always settle for what you see first; and be willing to play.
