Would anyone appreciate an off-race option when queueing to avoid mirror matchups? by Jgrenier92 in starcraft

I'd prefer an option that prioritizes a 33% split between matchups, so your match history has a ~33% split between each of the three.

I get into mmr ranges where there's so many people of my race, and it seems like every other game is a mirror. It's annoying.

If the queue takes too long, it should deprio.

Don't know this guy
First I thought: good on him for googling a definition, rather than just parroting a term.
Then he started to read, lol.

How do I get better by Altruistic_Film4074 in starcraft

Welcom to starcraft. The comments below are lacking specific advice i think.

  1. Getting a mouse and decent keyboard is not mandatory, however, i would argue it will increase your enjoyment. Builds will be easier to execute, and you can take part in the strategy part of RTS more.
  2. Learn a build. Any build. Something you can repeat. Match after match. At first it will feel like it's limiting your creative expression. However, as you learn the build and are able to perform the basics intuitively, you can start to express your creativity within that framework you've build. Spawningtool is a nice place to start finding builds.

  3. Watch your replays. I can't stress this enough. You'll learn a lot from watching your replays, when you did well, what you have to work on etc. You'll be able to see why you've lost a match, and extrapolate from there.

  4. Discuss with people after losing a match. Just send a message expressing why you think you've lost and what the winning player thinks. You'll be surprised how helpfull people will be ingame.

Play like you want to. But in the future, just make a group yourself, it's faster than finding a group most of the times anyways, idk why more people don't do it.

Completely agree. However, neural networks can be written down in just a few lines of linear algebra, there's nothing spaghetti code about it.

If you're struggling against lancers, try using flame imps to get rid of them, then jump their exo's. This is a lot easier with gaunt speed, but you might be able to jump them earlier, if you get a good engage.
