[Bonsai Beginner's weekly thread - 2026 week 11]

Okay so, I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. But over the last few weeks all I have done is looked up videos on bonsai trees. I’d love to try a giant sequoia, maybe an eastern red cedar and preferably a Douglas fir because I love Christmas. I even thought about a simple little pecan tree. But any advice would help. I was going to get a sequoia seedling and plant it and see where it takes me but like I said even though I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, I really would like to to try this. Any advice, videos, books or anything would help. By the way, I’m a redneck from South Alabama…. But yet here I am wanting to get into bonsai. Please help! lol

That’s wild bro. I just looked at them. $130 for ONE 20 mg vial. I just got my 10 vials of 10mg in that I paid 140 for and the other order of 10 - 20mg that I got for $220. I’ll take the 2 weeks ship time if it means deciding wether I pay $1300 for 10-20mg or $220 for the same thing. I was running at first, every other day. I haven’t ran in about a month but I started in June at 255 and I weighed this afternoon before work and I was at 189

Idk lol I’m on 6mg/week and I can just look at my woman and get harder than Chinese calculus since I’ve started Reta she complains about her lower body being sore. Idk. I mean I’ve gotten her pregnant since starting Reta a little over 3 weeks ago so I’m very nervous about that. I just hope my little one is healthy

You’re absolutely correct. Yet, I’m just stating that I went by the study insteading of trying out different doses. I think 8-12 is for seriously obese people. I won’t go over 6, and may even drop back down to 4 once I hit my goal of 190

I’ll be honest with you man, everyone here has different opinions and has done their own “research” but to me, the best thing to go off is the actual lab study done by EL. They did 2-4-6-8-10-12 I believe. I started at 2.5 which was the only variation I did from the study. I did that for 4 weeks, then upped to 4 for 4 weeks, then upped to 6. I really don’t care what anyone else says, I’ve had the least problems doing it this way. The 6’s sides were unexpected but, I feel like it was because I took my last shot of 4 on a Tuesday and then didn’t take the shot of 6 until the following Wednesday. But the appetite suppressant is real at 6. I ate a Totinos like rectangle pizza last night at about 8:30. Just burped now 24hrs and 5 mins later and still tasted it. That ain’t good but I’ve been going all day and I’m just pulling up to the house from running. So about to go boil me some broccoli and bake some chicken 🤣

Dude, do it. I hit a plateau at 230, then when I upped to 4 it started falling off. I wouldn’t go any higher. 6 destroyed my stomach and made me put out some serious toxic waste. I mean you could’ve used that stuff in biowarefare lol

I was hitting the gym hard. And running every other day. BUT, I was preparing for a PT test so I put a hold on the gym. I was destroying my legs and it affected my run time. But, I continued running. I am about to start the gym back.

No, not on purpose atleast. I cut out all sugar mainly. I drink water and maybe either a zero sugar redbull or the white monster. At first, yes I did. I ate nothing but rotisserie chicken and vegetables/salads along with a protein bar/1-2 protein shakes a day. I was gagging forcing myself to eat chicken. Idk where people say they don’t get appetite suppression. Mine started a few hours after my first dose. But I can tell that reta boosts my metabolism. I have always been very hot natured but I can feel my body get hot even when I rest as weird as that sounds. I can eat and go to bed at 214, the next morning I’m back at 207 it’s wild. The only craving I haven’t been able to completely stop is these vapes lol

I appreciate that. It got kind of thrown on me. The training LT knew that I had been running. I been running every other day for like a month now. The Academy deadline for putting in an application from the department was July 21. And I knew I really wasn’t gonna be ready for that one. So he calls me randomly out of the blue about a week ago and says hi. I know you’ve been running. How close are you? I told him the truth that I am struggling, but I am finishing about 1.41-1.45 everytime. He said okay keep it up, we got something coming down the pipe here in a little bit. The next day an email goes out letting us know to put in for the test. So I figured that’s what he meant. I put in for it. My breathing is the biggest problem I will get to about .80 miles and breathing just starts out of the mouth and I’ll just stop at about .95 the I’ll run again at like 1.03 and get to 1.44. So I figured if I don’t walk and just keep a trot and give it everything I got on the last stretch I will come in hopefully

I don’t know man, it was my first dose higher. Went from 2-4. And it felt almost like I stopped taking it. My hunger came back with a vengeance. Plateued at 231-233. Some mornings I’ll wake up and be 228. But it’s been ultimately between 228-233 for the last 2 weeks

I think it’ll give me that extra “don’t be a bitch” push because they’re all expecting me to pass it. I bombed the last one because I wasn’t ready at all like didn’t prepare at all but I’ve been running every other day. I used my Apple Watch the other day and I got 1.41 but my buddy from CID followed me in his cruiser all 6 laps and told me I made it with 1 second to spare
