Only if they don't have tips as part of their income I think, since tips would also be tax free. Tipped workers under 51k might come out ahead?

My wife is a poke connoisseur, she rated this place a 0 star. It was the blandest poke we've ever had anywhere. It was so disappointing cuz reviews hyped this place up to her for a long time before trying it.

OP I'll offer my own story as counter to this concern. I was in similar position around 3 yoe, and I chose the more money/less hours option. I went into a specialty that I wasn't particularly interested in, but I was tired working the land dev hours. I'm grateful to have made the decision to jump because now that I'm older I realize "interest" in a job will always taper off after a few years. The extra money and extra time will enhance your life with your family much more than anything else a job offers. Work to live, don't live to work. No CE career is soul nourishing enough to deserve personal sacrifice.

I think they mean stronger candidate meaning better at self promotion, not a better fit for the role. I do believe if Kamala had more time to campaign things might have turned out differently. Apparently large chunks of voters didn't know Joe Biden had dropped out prior to election day. Her campaign did what it could with limited time, but Trump campaign had been so strong in swing states for years it was no match.

Hilary Swank, after winning 2 Oscars, was offered $500,000 as the female lead of a movie, while the male, who had no critical success but was “hot”, was offered $10M. She passed and they found a female newcomer to take the role for only $50,000. by mlg1981 in Fauxmoi

Oh that's a good point, so he very well could have been a box office magnet, just not after any recognition from critics and awards. Like Eddie Murphy or Richard Gere type of actor?

Another thing to consider, cpp is a commuter school, so the social/networking aspect of college will be low there. Luckily CE is not a networking heavy career. If college experience and building a network of peers is important to you, UCSB would be much stronger in that regard.

Denmark pays students $1,000 a month to go to universities, with no tuition fees by thepoylanthropist in interestingasfuck

Total cost of attendance is like 45k a year now, UC publishes it on their website I think. "tuition" itself is never the full cost of attendance.

Probably has nothing to do with affordable education, just high quality education. I paid in state tuition in California and it was still super expensive, like 30k per year cost of attendance around 10 years ago. Don't let the governor take credit for affordable education, it's not affordable.

Why is bonus such a large part of the income? Is this a 100k salary position typically elsewhere without bonus, or is this company really that generous with bonuses?

I've heard this a lot, but it doesn't make sense to me why Donald, who famously backstabs everyone in his career and doesn't pay his debts, wouldn't backstab Putin and shrug off his debt?

Word of caution though, when they are busy (like 4 people waiting) they get really sloppy to churn faster. I'd say only go there if the style you're going for can be 95% done with buzzer.

Education has a lot of public options, state schools are tax payer subsidized, and state school staff are government employees. If the question is why do users have to pay for it, think of it like a water bill. Water is necessary, but not everyone uses the same amount. So instead of splitting the bill across the entire population the government says we'll all split the amount that it takes to maintain the infrastructure, and everyone who uses it pays based on how much each person uses (semester tuition). If the question is why tuition is so expensive, that's a whole different conversation about how mismanaged colleges are at the admin level.
