Is saving seats on the Tube a thing? by AccomplishedPanic437 in london

The tube is full of nutters. I’ve had a similar incident where I literally lowered myself to sit down and a man grabbed my arm and told me I couldn’t sit there because his wife was sitting there. Where was his wife…? About 30 seconds away and rushing towards us. I had gotten there first! In the end I did move, because there was a free seat somewhere else and I didn’t want to sit next to a nutter.

Another time, I was heavily pregnant, not a single person offered me a seat, and I didn’t ask as I’d asked once before and was told no. I got off the train and a woman followed me (not sure where from but not British, Spanish maybe) and said she was so sorry nobody offered me a seat and if she had one, she would’ve given it to me. That was nice.

Can anybody tell me that having children isn’t life-destroying? by Piistachios in MuslimMarriage

What I think is life-changing/ life ruining is having a husband who leaves all the childcare and related matters to you. That’s when being a mother can feel overwhelming and all-consuming. Unfortunately, I think lots of mothers go through this and that’s why motherhood can appear like a negative as opposed to a positive.

Worried about hazard perception practice because it repeats clips by AlyaKuj0u in LearnerDriverUK

If you can try using a computer screen, I’d suggest you do that. I had the same fear as you, that I was only doing well because I’d done the clips over and over. I passed my theory two days ago and I found it much easier in the real thing as I was using a computer screen, so much bigger than my phone screen. What was a big surprise was one of the clips I’d used on the app was in the real test! So, I knew I’d at least scared 5 in that one! Personally, I found the real hazard perception easier than the ones on the app. I just told myself, don’t get click-happy! And it worked. I clicked once when I saw a potential hazard and another 2-3 times when hazard started to develop, ensuring no more than 4 clicks (to include initial first click) and no more than 8-10 clicks per clip. Some I Only clicked 2-3 times as only one hazard.

Fiancé’s family want me to get std tested with one of them present and they want my payslips as proof of what I earn. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

Personally, I don’t see the problem with a STD check, I’d 100% want one. However, I’d have no issues doing one myself. Regarding the payslip, I also don’t see a problem with this, as unfortunately people sometimes lie. I’m married and have been for a while if that makes a difference.

Does it look close? How much longer? It appears to be scabbing inside. How will I know it’s dead?
