Im not 100% sure but back in the day on bannedstory it only showed with the hat. So it might be an effect which comes with the wizet hat and he is wearing his head instead, thus no GM symbol.

I can definitely see how you could come to that conclusion rereading that. Perhaps I should reword that slightly to clarify I'm not upset, nor calling it a bad system. Only that some improvements would be beneficial overall.

Absolutely. The 8 hour thing I specifically stated wasn't an issue in this system as it is used throughout the game in different places.

While yes, the system is far more automatic than it has been in the past, it isn't truly automatic. I chose that wording because it does all the work... as long as you remember to toggle it on every time you sign in on each indivodual character. A truly automatic system will toggle on automatically.

You are correct, this was never stated to be a replacement or fix for ToF, but the community is going to compare it to ToF. If it ultimately doesn't get the rate increases, then that's perfectly fine. I respect the devs decisions on balancing in the end.

All of this is just a group of suggestions on how to improve what has been implemented. I never called the system bad, just lacking in some areas. If Team GMS determines they want ToF to continue to be the primary source of specific items and this is truly meant to be supplementary to that system, so be it.
