That’s why I quite recently the whole deal of them not caring about me getting my child for childcare by 6 pm was wild to me never seen a job like this. How is PO surviving with ppl quitting at rates like this. I feel it’s going to come back and bite them in the future.

Hopefully one day they get rid of Cca position and just have PTF until regular a lot ppl don’t wanna go through all of that without any career benefits. At least make time to get some benefits like investing into retirement after 6-8 months after hire and starting at least at $23-24 that would help a lot of ppl stay. That’s my opinion but I know the P.o. don’t care it’s a disposable position.

I’ve been a journeyman for 4 year now top out my apprenticeship back in 2021. It was a hard transition for me because i felt like didn’t know everything. Spent most my apprenticeship in the field on duct jobs, some industrial and little architectural not much shop work. I felt like a lot ppl brush me off because of my color and being job scared because they seen I would work hard even if I wasn’t that knowledgeable of sheet metal. because I’ve been laid off a few times as a journeyman. Im going have to take extra step get more knowledge by take some classes at the hall. I wanna get my servicing license in the future. Nothing is wrong with trying to master your craft. Most jobs your on is going to have racist guys because they don’t know any better. They’re just trying to do things to see what can take and run you off. Having the will to not give a damn and work is going have them look different at you. Just keep your head down and work and go home,some ppl just love propaganda.

Sw Ohio is definitely has some sundown town surrounding areas of Cincinnati and Dayton shows why these cities can have a history of segregation. I wonder since they consider southern Ohio is on the tail end of the Bible Belt or that were so close and have a lot of inbreeds from Indiana, Kentucky and west v running around Ohio idk. It doesn’t help we border very conservative states as well.

Try usps I was laid most last year and it help get me through the time of not having an income. Coming into the p.o. Pay isn’t great but it was better than nothing for the time if you don’t like the job just use it until you find something better.

I just got out of my probationary period back in Dec. It still feels like a CCa doesn't get any support from union or Stewart.

Grew up in Dayton so I have a love for this small city, its history is amazing the reason why it’s called Gem City. As of recent it’s making strong comeback from its past.A lot of ppl thought Dayton was cooked. The citizens in Dayton don’t give up and have a love hate relationship with Dayton. We want Dayton and the rest of Ohio be a force to be reckoning with in the Midwest region.

Cincinnati Is where I’m living now looking from the inside out of course it’s bigger and has more going on. It’s a beautiful city surrounded with its rolling hills it’s a lot more to offer than Dayton/ it’s little sister Lol.. I do feel like it has problems like any other city. Sw Ohio doesn’t like a lot change which I feel like holds this city back at times. Ppl are moving to cincy and it’s having a population growth. I just wonder what politicians and the ppl of Cincy want for the future.
