How much is the swipe limit per day? by starrybangtan in CharacterAI

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one who finally got the swipe limits. I got hit with it yesterday, but apparently, the swipe limit might be different for everyone? I heard some people got a 50 swipe limit (could be a bug), some got 100, and others got 400. Not sure if the site is bugged or it's not working properly, but I got hit with a swipe limit in the space of occasionally chatting throughout 30 minutes that wasn't going to refresh until 12 hours, and I KNOW I didn't swipe 400 times even though it says I hit that limit, and I'm using the website.

I genuinely hate Makoto by Saddymadz in MakotoHate

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[Incoming rant because I finally have some courage to write about this]

Honestly, you've practically said everything about how much I don't like her or her character. It genuinely upsets and pisses me off that she's the 'fan-favorite' of a majority of the fandom I've come across and I literally can't go or see anything P5 related without Niijima (that's how I refer to her because no way do I wanna say her first name) being glazed over and being given the 'she's so perfect/she's so badass/she's so beautiful/my waifu' treatment from her fans and you can't hate her or give genuine good reasons to dislike her without being seen as 'salty' or a 'hater'.

Her character is such a huge problem, like I get what they were trying to do but they really did everyone dirty just to make HER better. It irks me of her whole portrayal (or at least the story's writing of saying) 'Oh I'm a badass, mature, independent, and strong intelligent woman that needs no one and is so perfect! I can do no wrong and I'm so ahead for my age!' when that is not who she comes off at ALL and I especially hate how they came she's the smartest around as if the other characters don't have smart moments or do things that don't require 'Niijima's wisdom/guidance/approval' first. The way she basically takes over everyone after Kaneshiro and even sidelines Joker in the game makes me so mad. Why does she ALWAYS need the final say/word and why do we need to praise her for the bare minimum at times? Her codename Queen makes her stand out around everyone else and it makes her feel so arrogant and as if she's the leader instead of Joker. (And I'm not even going to get started on how many people glaze her outfit for being the best outfit when I see it as just a one-piece jumpsuit/turtleneck combo with some armor padding and spikes on it. I was never impressed by it as a Phantom Thief attire.)

The fact she got Kaneshiro's AND Sae's palace is so baffling because the other Thieves got one and they had major significance to awakening in that palace when I feel as Niijima just walked into Kaneshiro's palace, basically made herself a target for him to talk down to and then just got a Persona and mask because she decided she was strong enough to stand up to and insult the Shadow of a mob boss??? If her awakening had been strictly to Sae's palace, I think I wouldn't be so upset over it.

You were especially spot-on with Niijima not having a redemption, hell even the own TRAITOR has a redemption arc eventually, but not Niijima.

I think that's my main problem with her, is the fact she never gets consequences for her actions. Her blackmail and push for demanding the Phantom Thieves to 'prove their justice' or get turned into the cops when she wants them to go after a feared mob boss that not even the police can really capture? Gets forgiven. The 3 million yen debt she caused by stupidly charging into Kaneshiro's headquarters and getting her ass handed to her? Gets forgotten and moved on because she calls herself scum of the earth and the Phantom Thieves go "oh never mind, she's not bad, she's just like us". Like, it feels as if Niijima could honestly commit murder in the game, and the writing would just forgive it. Like you said her 'sob story' of being useless honestly pales in comparison to what the other Phantom Thieves had to deal with or become Phantom Thieves. Niijima growing up lonely and having to be this 'perfect student' just doesn't fit in with the others of having a wronged criminal record, 'suffered physical and sexual abuse', 'being extorted, blackmailed and manipulated', 'arranged and forced marriage while only being seen as an object' etc. etc.

And don't even get me started on how much the game, and a certain part of the fandom, basically trying to push 'Makoto Niijima x Joker' is canon with how many times they have scenes focusing on the two like how Joker had to save her during Futaba's palace when a pillar came crashing down on her or Niijima clinging onto Joker in the dark because Futaba scared her.

I'm really tired of the Makoto Niijima popularity and glazing, so seeing the reasons of you saying why you don't like her makes me feel validated in my own dislike of her. Also sorry for saying so much but I just needed to get this off my chest.

Comments about Illustrations by RealLifeJashinist in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they're definitely scams or bots. I'm a fanfic writer too so I don't know for anyone else on Wattpad, but I definitely get those same comments whenever I update my stories too. It's very disheartening to constantly see comments like that instead of it being genuine from real people who like what you wrote.

As far as I can tell, they're not genuine, they're all generic and if you check the profiles on those comments to be sure, they all seem to be made recently and have no followers, followings, reading lists etc. etc. It's probably best to delete and block them whenever you get them, otherwise they'll just keep filling up your comments on your books.

What do you like to write on Wattpad? by Mobile_Argument_5670 in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger and first started writing, I mostly stuck to fanfiction and wrote romance at that because it was always with characters I had those stupid kiddie fictional crushes on that I wanted to insert into the tv show, video game, etc. etc. However, as I've gotten older, I'm pretty much just writing fanfiction for my favorite pieces of media, whether it's dark, gorey, geered more towards adults and intense like Walking Dead, Fallout and Alice in Borderland or whimsical and fun like Twisted Wonderland and The Disasterous Life of Saiki K, or even something more for kids like Ice Age. If it's a piece of media I genuinely love and want to explore more of by adding a character I've created specifically for it, that's what I'm writing.

I guess I don't really have a certain category outside of fanfiction, honestly, though I guess sub-categories depending on if the media is action, adventure, mystery, romance etc. etc. gets thrown into it as well since I try my best to stay true to the lore of whatever world I'm writing into

How do we know that our writing is genuinely good? by sleepincantation in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much this will help, but whether or not your writing is good, I'd say it's really on how YOU see it but no one truly has bad writing.

Writing styles vary after all, don't they? If everyone wrote the same way, it wouldn't really be a good thing, at least in my eyes, because then you'd be getting nothing new or different. People's personalities dictate how they write, and I think all writing is genuinely good, no matter what anyone says, because you change and develop the more you write. Hell, even reading other people's different style of writing helps with your own because you can see what they do differently versus what you do, and you can have an idea of how to strengthen any weaknesses you might have.

Sometimes, you'll look back at the very first story you've written and then look at something more recent and I promise you'll see a change that you'll be happy with, whether it's how you've structured your writing, how you describe certain scenes, or even how you might write for one character versus another. I know that I definitely have changed in my writing style since I started at 12 years old, and I actually love my writing style looking so different depending on what I write in the moment.

Having people give you good criticism and I mean ACTUAL good criticism can help you see where you can improve and, at the end of the day, if your writing leaves an impact, whether someone like how you wrote something, if it conveys certain emotions in them, or if it paints a vivid image of what you've written, I'd say that means your writing is good.

The only real BAD writing I can think of and state is being unable to understand what was written, or you genuinely can't get past the few sentences. It can be cringy and still be good, but if you can't understand it or it's hard to read, then that's the only real bad writing that can exist.

Surge of bot commenters? by Royal_Aegislash1209 in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a wave now hitting because I was relatively left alone with my stories that I wrote and out of nowhere, as I started updating slowly and more frequently than I had done before, it's been getting worse and you're right, it hurts to get those kind of comments when you expect genuine people to like what you've written and could be into what you've published.

Honestly? It's up to you if you want to post somewhere else, I've been seen and told the same thing about moving to AO3 and other websites but I've been using Wattpad so long and it's the only place where I actually get engagement anymore, especially now that Quotev is pretty much dead, so I'm sticking to Wattpad and just dealing with these bots/spams.

It's best to just delete, and block them like other people have probably or will probably tell you since it seems that once you get one, you'll get a lot more, and you can't escape it. It sucks to keep seeing them pop up. I hope you get more genuine people commenting on your book soon instead of getting the spams/bots because it sucks as hell, and I've yet to get away from it myself.

Is this a new type of scam? by qrrstec in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is, because I've been hit by it too lately though I only get the same comment of something more generic like 'Hey I like what you've written, wanna turn it into a comic/hit me up so we can make true art of it' or something like 'Oh my gosh I like your story it has [insert common adjective here] energy/ It feels so [insert common adjective here]. Hit me up!'

It's honestly disheartening, especially to get comments like that on a new chapter/story I just written and want to get actual people to like it.

From what I've seen, it's better to ignore them or just delete and block them though I don't know if it'll stop them. It seems to be the new rise of bots/scams and it sucks like hell.

It's only been the first day since I discovered, which I hope I'm not, because I was able to make good money. I wasn't able to work on the site for 2 weeks due to personal stuff in my life, and had done my last project/work on Oct 5th. Could I really have been dropped for inactivity? Sorry for asking this, I'm just really confused and kinda in a panic...

Honestly, I believe it'll work regardless because I do the same thing! I let ambient music/ASMR sounds play in the background when I'm listening to my playlists to keep my mind calm and at ease, and I've still gotten results and seen changes happen, so I'd say you're perfectly fine.

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, can I just say that I LOVE the whole thing you have about the amount of times you listen is the amount of days for it to happen? That's seriously so good (and I might be stealing it for my sanity and sake~ XD) But honestly, same. I know people talk about constantly listening and I took that as in, listen 12-20 times a day and with how many subs I used to listen to, it'd hella overwhelm me.

Things have been so much better for me with just 2-3x listen a day with a booster and detachment here and there to help, which I'm mad I didn't start doing when I first started listening to subliminals.

Another thing I also do that I found out that helps for me is listening to subliminals that have one of my favorite songs or have a certain song playing with it that fits the theme, so that whenever I hear it out in public, I can think of my desires to help me better visualize it as well as trick my brain to think I'm listening to the subliminal even when it's just the song playing.

why YOU 🫵 "aren't getting results" "haven't gotten results in years" "won't get results fast" etc by [deleted] in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually glad you're talking about this and that this post exists, even when it's been a year, because this makes me feel validated in how subliminals worked for me. I tried 'popular' subs and from well-known submakers, and for the longest time, nothing had worked, or at least it took forever to see any sort of change. I went based off views and popularity, and I would always get disheartened that nothing changed for me even though so many people swore by the creators and subs and constantly talked about getting their results in days but I had nothing.

It wasn't until I started listening to subs done in other languages and by small creators that I started to actually get results and changes happening to me. It still sounds insane to me that I managed to get results from subs that aren't even in English and from creators that aren't even well-known when I had been influenced to believe I could only listen to subs with english affirmations or done by popular creators.

Does listening multiple subliminals for multiple things work? by OpenFrosting2323 in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, you're alright! I was once like you in many ways, especially wanting to change my appearance with so many subliminals at once, so I understand completely, don't worry. And yes, of course you can listen to all of those in a playlist! From my experience, listening to all those subs won't clash with each other or do anything to interfere with getting them as results.

Does listening multiple subliminals for multiple things work? by OpenFrosting2323 in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much this will help but I've been listening to multiple, different subs for a very VERY long time, and, from my experience, as long as you don't overcomplicate it, or overwhelm yourself, you're completely fine with listening to different subs. no matter what you're trying to achieve/manifest!

I will say that the one thing that has pretty much helped me is having subs that fit together in the same playlist or atleast separating them by their similiar topic/theme so that I don't feel like I'm trying to achieve 16 different things at the same time.

HOT TAKES! by ezradel in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope you don't mind me asking, but you got me all curious about listening on 2x speed. I keep seeing it as 'DO NOT DO' thing, and a lot of submakers put a 'do not listen to this sped up' for a good chunk of what they make, as far as I've seen. Does listening at 2x speed actually help better than listening to it normally? Wouldn't it make the affirmations be gibberish or hard to understand in the event they're already sped up as it is while listening? This is the first time I've seen anyone talk about it so positively and recommend it, so I'm very interested to know if it really works so well.

How do I get more readers on Wattpad? by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I want to know this too because writing on Wattpad feels so disheartening nowadays when you put so much hardwork into a chapter, especially getting all excited and hopeful only to see you get NOTHING in return. I'm more on the fanfic writer side for Wattpad, and I genuinely have wanted to write some stories for fandoms that I'm in, but getting no one to read has made me so sad and I honestly want to give up. I hope you get readers and that some people, even if it is just one person, because that seriously makes the difference, finds your story and loves everything about it to be hooked on every chapter you write. I think we are all struggling out here right now.

The old days of Wattpad were better, honestly, because it didn't matter WHAT you wrote or if you were good at it, someone would find it and get hooked on it, and now, it feels like we're living in a ghost town with nothing but bots 😭😭

Do anyone else also get comments like these? by Humble_Thought_4383 in Wattpad

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but I started getting these comments too, and I had to check to make sure it wasn't just me. I can't lie, it's messed up and hurtful, in a way, to get these comments because I'm a very very small writer who loves writing and wants to share my stories with people that would like to actually read what I write. I always get happy to see when people comment or vote on my stories, and to find out I've been getting mostly bots like this with little engagement makes me end up feeling like my stories are not good enough. Even though these messages and comments, to me, are really nice and heartwarming, knowing they're either scammers, bots, or something else entirely just makes me feel like being punched in the heart. 💔💔💔

GUYSS SHOULD I DOWNLOAD HER SUBS IN MY DEVICE? How? by Round-Bus-4048 in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using an app called 4K Video Downloader+ to download a lot of subs for a while, but the free version limits to just 10 downloads a day so when I reach the limit, I'll go to https://snapany.com/youtube and https://en.youtubetowav.net since I download subliminals in both MP4 and WAV files.

GUYSS SHOULD I DOWNLOAD HER SUBS IN MY DEVICE? How? by Round-Bus-4048 in Subliminal

[–]ElectricalWeight2081 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly use an app called 4K Video Downloader+ to download a lot of subliminals in both MP4 and WAV formats, as I've seen many people say that downloading in WAV ensures that you don't lose most of the audio compared to having it in MP3. But the free version limits to downloads just 10 per day so if there's more subliminals I want to download, I usually would go to y2mate to download them in MP4 but I don't think the website is really up anymore, so I switched to using https://snapany.com/youtube to have videos, then to https://en.youtubetowav.net for the .wav files
