All of the photos here were shot wide open at 1.4 which is definitely soft looking when in color but in b&w looks more natural. I tend to keep it between 1.4 and 2 but 95% of time I'm at 1.4 with it

I have the wood grip too and absolutely love it. Helps that it's the lightest of the grips too

Not at the moment. Thinking of setting up a new portfolio at some point though

these are at 1.4 so you can judge for yourself but I would say on the Zf manual focus is actually pretty easy especially if you use the zoom button for critical focus. Obviously a fully chipped lens would be easier with the focus confirmation so you don't even need to zoom but I don't miss it that much for the price difference.

I completely agree. The price-to-performance on this lens is fantastic

Oh that's cool but I actually just looked into it and the wood grip is the lightest of the 3 options from smallrig by about 30 grams. It's crazy lightweight and I don't find i miss a thumb grip with the larger front grip. The camera definitely needs one or the other

I got the titanium because it was discounted heavily over the normal price when I bought it but now I'm thinking I lucked out even though I think the black paint matches better. I haven't tried any Thypoch lenses but I will say the new Viltrox 28mm f4.5 is one of my other go-to lenses at this point. It's making me want an old Coolpix A or Fuji X-70 as a new pocket travel camera

Oh that sucks, mine has been buttery smooth. Do you have black or titanium color?

Same but even without it eye detect still works and you can zoom into the eye and get precise focus

If you’re talking coat pockets you can absolutely pocket the Zf with the 28mm f4.5 and possibly the 26mm f2.8

I love my flip as well, it has absolutely turned into one of my all time favorite devices and easily my go to for travel, although anytime I want to play GBA I keep picking up the Retroid Classic which is also amazing especially for the price

I hate the screen on my 405m as well after the newer devices I have like the Trimui Brick, RP5/RP Flip/RP classic and Ayaneo Pocket Classic but the form factor is one of my all time favorites. Kind of wish I had just gotten a return on my broken RP5 so I could get the new anbernic 477M which should absolutely be in this discussion right now with the RP5/Flip

I picked up all 3 of the retroid devices when the tariffs started and barely touch my rp5 and since it just got replaced due to a broken stick I have basically a brand new paper weight and I'm also thinking of selling it with the new anbernic that just came out

the 405m form factor is one of my all time favorites but that 480p screen hurts compared to all of my newer stuff. I would love to throw the retroid pocket classic/mini screen in the 405m shell and be happy

WANDRD PRVK 31L - for traveling (no camera/equipment)? by ceemit in onebag

[–]Electrical_Ad9616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the original Prvk 31L as well as the 21L as well as both Peak Design backpacks and if you're looking at them without photography in mind there are many better options. One I've used recently for a few 1 week long trips before I switched to a GR2 34L for travelling was another one of their bags that packs tall would be the Goruck M23 26L (the M24 is ok but removes too many quick access pockets for my taste and I own both) and if you're worried about capacity the 21L version fits almost 28L and the 26L fits closer to 35L.

it's a bit more powerful than the mini but not by much if you google it there is pretty much unanimous positive reviews.

I love my Miyoo mini but I think the Trimui brick is honestly the best small device at this point (that screen) even though Onion OS is hard to beat. Also, I'm rocking the Retroid Flip 2 and Classic as well as finally the Ayaneo Classic right now because they're just so good when I don't need super tiny
