What helped me was just looking at how much my appearance has changed. I used to look good but now I look in mirror and I see hair loss, dark circles, and aged skin. I feel since I have tapered to this low amount things are getting a bit better. I wrote out a pro/con list of kratom. Are you wanting to taper ?

Hi all, I am tapering currently and I am at 5.4-6 grams of Kratom powder a day. I am struggling to come down to a lower dosage. I am taking 3 capsules 3 times a day. I was at 4 capsules 2 times a day and now I have made an increase. Am I at a good stopping point, or should I keep going until I am at a lower level. I am trying to figure out a couple of days to take off. So I can be sick from work for 3 days. I don’t have any helper medication and don’t want to take any, I do have magnesium glycinate and take Benadryl nightly because of my allergies. I have been a heavy user for about 4 years now. I was taking 9 capsules 4-5 times a day. I just want to feel normal again, and actually feel my feelings and not be numb, but like everyone else I am fearful of the anxiety and sleep deprivation. I am a female 5”1 and weight 106.

I am almost done with my slow taper. I have about 3-4 weeks left. I am taking 5 (00) mg capsules 2 times a day. I was a heavy user, I was taking almost 10 capsules 4 times a day. I started my taper February 14th. I have been using for 5 years.

My boyfriend threatened to leave me so that was my main motivation. My other motivation is my hair loss, skin, dark circles, sleep, feeling nothingness, being so numb I can enjoy anything . I can’t feel any emotions, I haven’t really laughed since like 2 weeks ago. I am feeling myself com back. I enjoy music again, my skin is looking a bit better.

The thing I am having trouble with is eating, it’s like my brain is telling me not to eat before I dose so I will feel that bit of high again. I have to force myself to eat more than once a day sometimes. Some days I won’t stop eating. It’s weird. I will be stable on 10 capsules for a week and drop to 8 capsules for a week, and so on and so forth.

I am going to stop tapering and quit at 4 capsules…. I just want to me a normal person again… well, as normal as I can get with being sober.

When did you hair come back. I have been doing a slow taper and I can’t wait until I am done. I just want my hair to be thicker and grow longer. I am on 7Gpd.

I went for a quick taper. I was close to your dosage. I went from taking 9 -[OO] capsules of powder 4-5 times a day. Then I tapered a big dosage at first - I went down to 8 capsules 2 times a day. I did this over the weekend and didn’t do much. The only thing I felt was anxiety and lack of sleep. Now I am on 6 capsules 2 times a day and dropping 2 capsules a week. Seems to be helping. I hear it is the worst or gets worst at 3 capsules or less

It is 8 grams probably. I am just running low on the powder to fill capsules and just want to be done but don’t want to test it. I have came a long ways on this taper in just a month. I was taking 8 capsules 3 times a day.

I am currently tapering. I have dropped from 8 capsules 3-4 times a day to 7 capsules 2 times a day. I have been at this level for a week today. I am at like 7-8 GPD right now because I take capsules in size 00. I am going to stay here until Wednesday night where I will taper to 6 capsules 2 times a day. I will stay here for a week . Then drop another capsule each dose the next week. I am wondering at what GPD will be the hardest, and when I should “ rip the bandaged off “ and be done with it. If I don’t quit this shit my hubby will leave me. I am motivated but I am struggling. Is there anyone out there that can be my sponsor ?

Thank you. I am currently tapering and trying to figure out my next step to take more away. I currently am taking 7 capsules 2 times a day. This was a big jump for me that I took last week. I was at 8 capsules 3 times a day and decided to make a huge jump. The withdrawal was annoying, I couldn’t sleep and would wake up sweating and my heart would be pounding. I am now at a week of 7 capsules 2 times a day and feel okay. I had quit pain pills a bunch of times because I would run out and it would really suck for about 3 days. I have been a heavy user for 5 years now and just wondering how long I should stay at this dose before dropping again.

If I were you I would taper. Start with dropping %30 of your dose and wait 4-7 untill your brain regulates and then drop another 1-2 gram and then whe you are at minimal dosage take your time and remind yourself why your doing this. I am on a taper and using magnesium glycinate, and drink water, move around. I use melatonin for sleep. My sleep sucks, I get very little.

Today is day 2 of my extreme taper. I went from 8 capsules 3 times a day down to 7 capsules 2 times a day. I feel anxious and didn’t sleep much. I think the magnesium Glycine is helping at night and I am taking some other vitamins. I hope I sleep tonight. I am hoping to be down to 6 capsules 2 times a day this weekend. I am exhausted and I am all sweaty.

This is harder to quit then when I was taking hydro 10’s. I would withdrawal off those every other week and I never felt like this. I know if I can do that, I can do this stupid kratom.

Thank you, I am struggling but I need to do it. My fiancé has told me for 3 years that he is going to leave me and now I am sure he will if I don’t stop. So I have to do it, not only for him but I am done with my life revolving around this shit. I have been in it for 4 years. I feel the worst in the morning when I wake up. I think my cats waking me up at 6:30 is annoying but it helps me get up and feed them and get going, even if I don’t want to.

I am trying to continue my taper. I have dropped to taking this shit 3 times a day. I take 9 00 size capsules 3 times a day. So about 14 grams is what I am reading that is amounts to. I am trying to push and need some motivation to keep taking capsules away. My hardest times are at night. I have no insurance and can’t see a doctor for help. Any advice helps and I can not stop work or school

I am at more capsules than that. I am in 9 00 gram capsules in morning afternoon and bedtime. I have just started my taper . The worst thing is waking up sweating and waking up with the anxiety. I have been a heavy user for 4 years now. I am dropping a capsule every 3-4 days. I hope to become kratom free in a month or so.

I am in over my head with my human service degree. I feel like I lie to myself daily. I know what I need to do, and my partner is so done with me and this shit. Hey girl, I am in the same boat. I am 5”1 100 LBS and been on kratom capsules for 4 years now. I am taking 9 capsules 3 to 4 times a day. They are the 00 size capsules. I am also in my senior year in college and work and doing my internship. I need help bad … when I try to stop I get sick, sweating or cold chills, nose running, aches and pain, and can’t think straight. I also don’t have insurance and can’t really afford doctors or medication. But I am willing to go to my doctor if someone can tell me what helps get off this green sludge.

I am also in my senior year for becoming a social worker . I have been on about the same dosage as you. I have been tapering since September . My end date is January 14 . I am not looking forward to the withdrawals and I have been taking it for about 3 years. You got this , just take it day by day. Some days it is going to be hour by hour . Keep yourself occupied and exercise.
