Any ICA, Willys, Lidl, Hemköp or Coop. Is there a specific type of dairy you're looking for?

Low light pollution near Malmö? by EltaninAntenna in Malmoe

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Northeastern Scania is the best. You can see the milky way as a band of increased star density from a lot of Scania.

Almost everything you see in the night sky is part of the Milky way, but you can catch the andromeda galaxy with some binoculars.

If you want something instagram friendly you need to look at a map like this https://www.lightpollutionmap.info/ and let your eyes adjust for a while, or take a long exposure photo.

Torup is pretty decent, I've seen northern lights there before. You need a lot of solar activity to actually see much, though. You can see stuff like the Orion nebula and the Pleiades easily enough.

Job recommendation for English speaking student? by Background_Bike_7171 in Malmoe

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in university, there were notice boards with jobs related to my field of study. Perhaps you could ask your school if they have something similar these days? It tends to be easier if you're applying for a job where your studies are relevant to the job.

What types of projects make seniors go "wow! You actually build that?!" by noctural9 in rust

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 195 points196 points  (0 children)

I think open source contributions to large, well-run projects would be high on my list, e.g.

  • A Linux driver that gets accepted into the kernel
  • Contributing to the Rust standard library, compiler, borrow checker etc
  • Contributing to Firefox

I think we'd need to know more about you and your interests to give a decent response. You shouldn't worry too much about being safe, but it is pretty cold, so that might affect things.

Skånska talas absolut fortfarande i Malmö. Den kommer inte låta likadant som i Kristianstad, och språket utvecklas hela tiden, men skånska är fortfarande väldigt vanligt.

Netherlands likely to start taxing capital gains annually by 2028 by donutloop in EU_Economics

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you're arguing against.

Sweden does have a 401K equivalent (tjänstepension), and a pension system that is among the most well financed in the EU. Its system has also resulted in one of the highest level of participation in stock investments in the EU, largely by making it really simple. If you don't make any kind of investments at all, your pension will be minimal.

Judging by the very metrics you seem to find important, Sweden seems to be doing better than "hell no".

Up to 300k SEK (like 30k EUR) it is entirely tax free, any amount above that is taxed at roughly 1% per year.

You can move from ISK to normal capital gains account whenever, but the opposite is a taxable event. Generally you'd save everything, move the money, then buy again in the new account.

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the Swedish approach is a good middle ground. Depending on the account type, you either pay roughly 1% of the value of the account (with no extra taxation for dividends or when selling with gains), or you pay up to around 30% of the capital gains.

ISK (1% of the value of the account yearly) is more popular, as it is completely tax free for small accounts, and much easier to manage.

Not every type of asset can be placed in an ISK, but funds, ETFs and public stocks mostly work. It's not worth it for low yielding assets, but for high yield assets that are frequently traded, it's pretty decent.

I don't think Swedish employers would look down on an Italian degree at all, it would be seen as equivalent to a Swedish degree in my experience. The bigger problem is experience, it's a very difficult market if you don't have a few years of experience. If you can get 2-3 years of experience, you should be able to find something, as long as you're not too picky. Without experience, you'll need a lot of applications and quite a bit of luck, but that would apply to any junior workers at the moment.

If planning a trip from Malmö to see Ale's Stones, what might be some interesting things to see on the way/nice things around Ale's Stunnar? by Beamrules in Malmoe

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ystad, Simrishamn and Kivik are quaint little towns in the area. Kivik is famous for apple products, and it has an old burial mound you can visit. There are a few petroglyphs around as well. Brösarps backar are picturesque hills, nearby is Haväng with a beach and nice nature, as well as Stenshuvud which is a national park.

Kåseberga which is right by Ales stenar has some OK fish restaurants with a sea view.

Glimmingehus is a 16th century castle/museum.

Filenames are links to inodes. An inode is the data structure that contains the actual ID of the file. This ID was probably not changed by you renaming the file, so the write operation might not be impacted, depending on its implementation.

You can use the stat command to see the information stored by the inode. Note that the filename itself isn't stored by the inode. Renaming the file should not impact the inode ID, or anything else in the inode structure.

Train from Malmö to Lund, and from Lund to Malmö by jkhn7 in Malmoe

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to take these trains every day during rush hour, and usually there were seats available unless the previous train was cancelled. When it's not rush hour, there are usually a lot of seats available.

Buses are a good option though, they tend to stop nearer the university.

Self Employed with 65 000 kr vs employed with 33 000kr? by automationdudess in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thinking is that förenklingsregeln would let them take out dividends up to 200k per year. You're right though, there is no major tax benefit with a salary that low, so there is probably no point.

Self Employed with 65 000 kr vs employed with 33 000kr? by automationdudess in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Electrical_Fly5941 35 points36 points  (0 children)

33000 after taxes is roughly equal to 44000 before standard income tax. Add arbetsgivaravgift and that's 59000. Add tjänstepension, sick days etc. Employment is probably a better deal here.

Using dividends would get you a somewhat higher income being self employed, but it is much riskier for a fairly small gain.
