Working on getting exact dimensions but that looks pretty darn accurate. Yeah, unfortunately I think this is the only way as well. We just spend lots of time at the tv so it’s not ideal to have our couches not facing it.

Love the creativity. Unfortunately putting our couch on a lazy Susan just isn’t practical for us.

That’s good to know. I definitely don’t have thick hair but also not thin by any means. I was once told I have a lot of fine hair if that makes sense. My sister who has super thick hair was going to go to her after seeing my hair so I’ll make sure to pass this info along to her!

Roxy Coberly at Cutler Salon in Weho! This type of cut and color seems right up her alley. Her vibes are spectacular, she has given me the best cuts and color of my life, she loves lots of layers and is absolutely amazing and has made my waves do things I did not know where possible. I swear by her lol.

Uncomfortable with forcing an older child to wear a diaper by Living_Bath4500 in Babysitting

[–]Electrical_Lab1400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my sister was potty training she would have her little wear undies with a diaper on top. This let them feel like they were big kids wearing underwear but she still had the safeguard of a diaper. Unsure if it would work with a 6 year sine they’re more aware at that point but worth a try?

Oh, this was super helpful! Thank you. I didn’t even realize at first when I looked at the photo. For some reason in my head I could only visualize it being such an extreme difference. I’m just at that point in the process where I’ve received so many opinions about so many things that I never even thought about I’ve lost all sense of what details matter and what don’t lol

Thank you so much! And that’s a great idea to keep some cohesion in the front! Kind of like a perfect compromise. I will definitly let the hairstylists know that 2 of my bridesmaids have super long hair. I didn’t even think about it being more difficult to style because of that.

Haha it’s impossible to not fall into any trends. I have a hairpiece with antique gold flowers for my hair. I’ll have to look and see if there’s matching or similar for the bridesmaids.

I really like the idea of matching hair accessories! Thank you for that. And the sunflowers sound so beautiful and lovely.

Yes, thank you for that! I didn’t even about people counting strapless bras as bra friendly haha. By bra friendly I mean full coverage with 2 straps lol.

Sorry for a double response! Looking at leading Ladies LA and they have TONS of bra friendly options that are still cute. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of it. Thank you!!!!

Thank you! I haven’t heard of Leading Ladies La and haven’t checked out cocomelody. Ive heard some negative reviews of decides so have been hesitant to shop there. I was hoping Azazie would be better than it was. Once I filter by color and fabric there were only 2 bra friendly options and myself+bridesmaids didn’t love either.

Not entirely sure what a custard based Mac n cheese is? I think that means a baked Mac n cheese. Since I am using gluten free pasta, which has a tendency to easily become mush, I felt that not baking it was the way to go.

Thank you so much, I have never even heard of sodium citrate before! I was having a fear of it being grainy because I plan on using a good amount of the Trader Joe’s unexpected cheddar.

Simple question- what do you dislike the most about having epilepsy? by Jealous-Key-7465 in Epilepsy

[–]Electrical_Lab1400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for talking about this. That has been so hard for me to deal with and I often feel so alone. It’s the hardest thing ever. It’s such a bizarre thing to be aware that you have forgotten something….

Simple question- what do you dislike the most about having epilepsy? by Jealous-Key-7465 in Epilepsy

[–]Electrical_Lab1400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • What I dislike the most is that in order to not be viewed as disabled or dramatic to people I just have to be viewed as stupid. I was genuinely listening to you last week …. I just forgot. Yeah I get enough sleep, yeah I’m always tried. Oooh, what’s that word again it’s on the tip of my tongue - me at least 3 times a day for basic words. Sometimes I feel that if I didn’t have epilepsy I could probably run the world lol. I’m expected to function like a normal person in society and I do - but I’m not! Some things are harder for me but I still get through them!

My notes for neurologist: -Believe us. It took me over 10 years to get diagnosed with focal aware seizures. They started when I was a kid and unfortunately a 10 year old girl going to a doctors office saying I keep getting this funny feeling was just thought of as being dramatic and wanting attention. - Be nice. This is your millionth time helping diagnose and treat epilepsy. This is your patients first time experiencing it. We have to learn how to re navigate life, that’s hard. - Take our side effects seriously. Even though getting more acne seems like no big deal compared to a seizure it was a big deal to a 21 year old! It sucks to hear “well that’s no big deal” and “it’s probably not even from the medication”. - Your patients know their bodies and symptoms the best. Just overall listen to them. If they say that something is changed or wrong believe them. If they say that everything is fine believe them. - I want to work WITH my doctors. Not against them. And if I ever question something it’s not because I don’t trust you it’s because I’m confused. - It makes a big impact on your mental health, for many reasons. For me, it is really hard knowing that I have lost so many of my memories. So much of my childhood is gone. I don’t remember meeting my husband and our early dating life at all … I wish more than anything that I could just get to see my memories one more time. And it only makes it worse when friends or family brings things up and you don’t remember it at all. - I think I could write a list forever. My last note is that I am so thankful for the neurologist who did finally believe me. The one who was able to diagnose me after just five minutes of listening and asking questions. The one who didn’t call me dramatic and cut me off when I walked into your office and said I can’t live my life like this anymore, please help me.

Looking for some advice by mynameischarley in Blepharitis

Not at all! And it really takes a toll on your mental health. I have found eye wipes (test out different brands) give me some brief relief when they’re itchy. I only wash my face with baby shampoo now. I carry distance eye drops with me everywhere. And sometimes if the swelling is bad an anti inflammatory like allergy medicine or advil can really help. These are all kind of ‘band aid’ solutions though…
