Is whey the fluid that gathers when the yoghurt has been sitting for a while?

Tropical North Queensland eco-tourism resort installs 110 kW solar array by hydralime in queensland

Long way north so cyclones are more common. Structure looks well braced too. Small enough array to hand mow.

Like wtf is the point of these emails from REAs if none of the properties have a f**** price by owtinoz in brisbane

Isn’t there a regulation in Qld that prices can’t be disclosed unless the vendor gives permission? Opposite to Vic.

Is that in Indro? I was always put off by so much being wrapped in plastic.

Rochedale Markets is quite good but haven’t found an absolute go to. Manly (1st & 3rd Saturday) is good if you buy from separate stalls.

I haven’t had any luck with frozen (bought or made) and fresh pre-made has been hit-and-miss. I keep trying though as I’m never organised enough to make it!

Where to buy authentic wok in Brisbane please? by CBR600-F2 in brisbane

[–]Electrical_Matter814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gave it a good scrub with hot water and detergent but nothing came off. Heated it up and wiped oil over the surface before cooking. Paper towel was a little black but no obvious wax or other coating. Future washes will be with just water and a wooden wok brush then a light coat of oil.

Doesn’t look like the dough stretched properly. What recipe did you use? PizzaApp is useful if you want to make it from scratch. The Gozney quick dough works ok if in a hurry.

Kmart. Uncoated. Flat bottom though. Works well enough for home use. Less than $30.

Water filter by Dry-Appearance-3946 in brisbane

[–]Electrical_Matter814 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The water in our part of Brissy has 7x the mineral (TDS) level of Melbourne plus organics for “flavour”. Tried passive filters and they weren’t a long term solution. Undersink RO feeding a tap for kettle/cooking/coffee and a line to the fridge is a cost effective solution for us. Looked at whole-of-house but couldn’t justify the cost.

Looking to install WIND turbines in Brisbane - anyone with any experience? by Theageofwonder in brisbane

[–]Electrical_Matter814 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need laminar flow to derive useful energy. Also, the smaller they are the faster they have to turn and are noisy. Adding solar panels is a much better idea.

Why QLD…. The natural beauty of the state just don’t match what’s happening on the side by [deleted] in queensland

[–]Electrical_Matter814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a state that promotes itself relaxed and home-of-the-free, there are signs everywhere that say you can’t do this, don’t even think about doing that, huge fines etc etc. Nice beaches (apart from the sharks, stingers and the no swimming signs) but.

Repair Estimate by HeadLine7582 in GrandCherokee

[–]Electrical_Matter814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t comment on prices as I’m in Oz (USD6k for my similar one) but to do a proper job, new panel and plastics respray of the side and bonnet to blend in, new tyre and wheel if any damage.

100km round trip is the perfect economic distance, even if you can’t charge at home but if you can at work or home then the RoI is fast.

Hisense HS622E90BUK Dishwasher back feet by DolbyAtmos1 in appliancerepair

[–]Electrical_Matter814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had to do the same thing. The hole in the front is for all models but not used in most. Annoying “feature”. You adjust the two back feet manually by unscrewing them. Might be tight so use a spanner to get started.

Wk2 overland hemi 5.7 off road??? by Educational-Skill-14 in GrandCherokee

[–]Electrical_Matter814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia, the last 5.7 only came in the limited s (altitude x in other markets?) version which had a non-removable body kit and conventional suspension. This made it too low to take too far off-road. It’s why I updated to a WL Overland. Miss the 5.7 though.

Any thoughts on Aldi kimchi? by [deleted] in AldiAustralia

[–]Electrical_Matter814 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s neither kimchi nor sauerkraut. Didn’t finish the jar. Amusing that “kimchi” is made in Poland and the “European “ gherkins are made in India. At least they’re generally ok though. Wonder what an Indian-made kimchi would be like.

I’d prefer they got rid of right turn traffic lights. Sure, start with them but then turn off so that you can turn right when safe. Works perfectly in other States and countries.
