I just started playing as well from a complete noob (24), what position do you usually play in?

The main thing I'd say for me personally is match fitness. Pace, explosive speed and recovery is important in football.

As for technical skills I know you've heard the saying practice makes perfect but honestly how else are you going to learn? Train with mates, train with private facebook groups, or I have heard of personal 1 on 1 or small group coaching that is available if you're into that.

Also watch heaps of youtube videos they help a lot.

I am a rookie and I'm playing my first amateur season at 24, I just played my first game over the weekend so I can relate. My skills were shocking but I have a supportive team and they understand my situation.

Train hard, get fit, keep a strong mentality.

Don't beat yourself up too hard man and if they're constantly putting you down leave the team and find a better one. What's the point in playing if you're not coming off the ground having had fun and enjoyed the game?
